I would have given 4 except for theft. I left a tip for the cleaning staff on the first morning of a two day stay. When I got back to my room the first night the money was gone but nothing had been done in my room. No bed make up, no new shampoo, towels still in tub. I then checked to ensure nothing else was missing and it wasn’t. When I checked out in the second day I asked about cleaning staff and the front desk confirmed that the staff wouldn’t have been in due to COVID restrictions. So I let them know about the $10 that went missing and they chuckled. I let them know that it was theft but didn’t raise a fuss as I wasn’t missing anything else. Needless to say that I extremely disappointed that money was taken from my room. I wasn’t looking for compensation but I did find out that balconies were being painted and people were going in and out of rooms. Not for me to figure out but I would have hoped they might have shown a little more concern. What if it were jewelry.

Dear johnnyf583, Thank you for taking the time to post a review of your recent visit, we appreciate our guest feedback and the opportunities that can arise to provide clarity to any concerns. We regret to learn of your displeasure, unfortunately without more specifics regarding your reservation, name, dates, room number, it is difficult for us to undertake a thorough investigation. If you would be willing to e-mail with this pertinent information, we would be more than happy to look into your concerns in greater detail and provide a thorough response. We have not resumed daily services in our guest rooms as of yet and as such, the response provided by our front desk associates was an accurate one. Likewise, the construction team working on balconies would not be accessing guest rooms for any reason and rooms are assigned carefully to avoid having work occurring directly outside occupied rooms. Had a 3-night stand in January 2022 in a 1-bedroom suite. Very clean and nice. Main room equipped with kitchenette and has everything you need (we were there when restaurants were closed for indoor dining, so we needed plates and other kitchen tools to eat - they have everything - no need to bring anything). Rooms are clean and spacious, main room has a fireplace - which is cool in winter after skiing/snowboarding. You need only text the hotel - they will bring you what you need in minutes! We needed to book an outdoor hot tub and a pool and it was 1 time per day per room. But it was awesome - to swim at nearly -20C and sit in a hot tub outdoors! I'd highly recommend this hotel! Been there twice already

Dear ZapCa, Thank you for this wonderful review, we are delighted to see how well you enjoyed the Mosaic Suites at Blue Mountain Resort. The rooms are so well appointed, this is such helpful information for future guests, no need to overpack, everything is supplied. The fireplace is a lovely touch and the year round outdoor pool and hot tubs are a great feature, particularly on a chilly day. We sincerely hope you be back for a third visit and more. Rooms are clean but dated and come on, even a third world countries have a smart TV in their hotel’s room so you have an option to watch Netflix or other channels you are paying for. What a shame to have such an old TV in Canada’s resort. Also, you have to pay extra for underground parking and for the WiFi.

Booked this hotel to ensure we could come in for lunch and warm up when all restos closed due to covid. Pleasant surprise as it was much better than anticipated. Friendly staff, great hot tub and we were able to have an early check in. Will definitely stay again. The only reason I don’t give it five stars was because parking was a pain- with a ski box on the top of our SUV we couldn’t access the parking garage... that’s no biggie but instead of parking in the main lot outside the hotel (or even somewhere nearby ) for overnight we had to park many blocks away in a different lot which was a complete pain and quite frankly a bit ridiculous.

We are delighted to see that you enjoyed your stay, accommodations and the services of our wonderful associates. We are thrilled to see that you are planning to return and look forward to welcoming you back. We're sorry to see that you were inconvenienced by our parking policies and understand how this detracted from your enjoyment. We booked a one bedroom suite for a little weekend break. Check in was perfect. We were able to check in as soon as we arrived, in spite of being a little early for our check in time. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and welcoming. Our room was spotlessly clean and we loved the location. On our second night, we had to call reception at about 11pm because our neighbour’s music was at full volume. Hotel security dealt with the issue immediately and very efficiently. I wouldn’t hesitate to return here with my children. Can’t wait to stay again!

This is my 3rd and last visit to Mosaic hotel. The room this time was dirty, the couch stained, floor dirty. The staff at the front desk were great but not enough to come back! The bed was completely uncomfortable and the pull out was done, the springs were in my back! Its not cheap to stay for a weekend so they should make the upgrades needed.

We have stayed at several Blue Mountains properities but this was our first time at Mosaic. The concept of the townhouse with a private pool is great, kitchen great, excellent bed, and on the first floor you feel like you can get in and out into the village so easily, but.....the service gap is too large, hence my rating of "average" overall. I would come back, but I'd like to see some things in place, such as reliable coffee in the rooms, and some kind of coffee or breakfast service provided in the lobby. Food was an inconvenience and restaurants are overwhelmed and unable to keep up with the demands. Just we aware that if you stay here, breakfast (and potentially coffee to your room) will be hard to get, making it not relaxing to start your day, and causing delays due to the surrounding amenities being inadequate to meet the needs. This means that the experience is no different from stayng at a local Air BnB with no amenities, so I'd consider that option in future, and bring my own muffins :) or stay at the Trillium and get proper breakfast.

Dear Kathleen P, Thank you for taking the time to rate and review your recent experience while visiting Blue Mountain Resorts and the Mosaic Suites. We are delighted to see that you enjoyed the room type, bed comfort and ease of access to the Village. We regret to learn of your displeasure with a lack of amenities in your suite and apologize if this was not made clear in advance of your visit. In response to COVID and following the first lockdown, and guided by the Ontario Hotel Association, Federal Government and Public Health, we removed a number of high touch items from our guest rooms and limited the number of amenities in a room. We are more than happy to deliver additional coffee or any missing items on request, and regret that you were not made aware of these practices via your pre-arrival e-mail. We are aware that most restaurants, not only in the Village, are suffering from a staffing shortage and struggling to meet the demand. With no immediate solution in sight, sadly these operations are struggling to meet expectations. We regret to see how impactful this situation was for you and can assure you we are all working towards a viable solution and enhanced hiring practices. Yours in Hospitality, On behalf of Blue Mountain Resorts LP James Henry Vice President of Hospitality

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Mosaic Boutique Suites in Blue Mountain. The room was clean and a perfect size for the two of us! We got plenty of pool time, despite the reservation system (due to Covid). Other guests would either not show up for their reserved times or they would cancel their reservations last-minute, so we were got more than an hour a day at the pool. We couldn’t find the free, above-ground parking that we had read about, but to be fair, neither of us is great with maps! This was our second visit to Blue Mountain and we stayed in a different hotel the last time. We much preferred the Mosaic and plan to stay here again on our next trip!

Poor guest services, they never go a step beyond to try (at least) to accommodate a request, a wrong information about amenities in the room, cold, brief, and robotic receptionists, bad directions to the hotel from over the phone reps. Locked in the room because of an engineering issue, when called to get help and indicated the door would not open, the person on the phone did not even treat the matter as an emergency. Receptionists made us pay for a late checkout, while the other asks us to leave earlier with an attitude, even the late checkout was paid for and pre-arranged by her colleague.. One of your receptionists asked me to leave and she will email me the invoice just because she did not want to log in as she started her shift 5 minutes ago!!!!!!

Rooms are decent and clean! Pool was broken the entire time and no alternative provided. Aquatic centre suggested, however that is an extra cost. Resort was also very loud. Called security twice, but not resolved.

Dear nicolesY7476RY, Thank you for this feedback, we regret to see that you were quite dissatisfied with your overall experience, largely related to the current pool closure at the Mosaic property. On a quick review of the website we can see there is notice advising guests of the closure. Additionally, third party booking sites have notices posted to inform guests in advance of reserving. Our contact centre representatives are trained to provide this notice to guests reserving by phone to avoid disappointment. We are saddened to see that this messaging did not reach you in advance of your visit resulting in your displeasure. We can assure you that we are actively working on a solution to ensure the pool is restored to service as soon as possible.
