This was our Christmas present to ourselves instead of gifts this year. We booked for Grand Georgian but were placed in Seasons, which was fine but disappointing. Seasons had full kitchens which was great as we have 2 family members with Celiac and dining out options are limited. The room was clean, fresh paint and carpeting had obviously been done in the last few years but the appliances were dated and out fridge often made loud, clunking noises; but everything worked and the dishwasher (also incredibly loud) was a bonus. The Village suites had set up a texting service for items (TP, towels etc) during COVID and it worked well. Not alot of staff present though, just 1 in the lobby and I only make note of this as many other guests did not follow COVID protocol well at all! Some gentle verbal reminders would have been beneficial. Easy access to the village, had to drive to the skating rink at the top but otherwise most things were easily accessible. Evening light show was really great. Highly recommended seeing that and walking the 1km loop. Prices in the village were insane, more than anticipated. Dispute looking at costs online a head of time they were not at all correct! We went swimming in the outdoor plunge pool and for a family of 4 it was $117.00 for a 2 hour max. Skating was $112 for 2 hours as well. Frozen yoghurt for 3 people $10.00 each. These costs took us by surprise and with your family standing there swimsuits in hand you feel kinda obligated. People, especially day passers with the skiing, were absolutely terrible for following COVID protocol. Not very safe there, especially given how easy it is to pass the Omicron varient. We ducked out side entrances, avoided busy times and were hiking, not skiing thank goodness. All in all it was good, would be much better without COVID risks. Expect to pay though.

Dear Cinnamon R, Thank you for taking the time to share this feedback following your recent visit to Blue Mountain Resort, we regret to see that your expectations and can assure you that this is not the high standard of service we strive to provide. We are pleased to see that the kitchen proved to be quite an asset despite a few minor issues. We will be sure to have our maintenance team undertake a thorough inspection of this suite to ensure all is in proper working order. We have signage in place across the resort informing our guests of our Covid/masking protocols, and share your disappointment with those that choose to ignore these important practices, not only at our facilities but just about anywhere. Our associates do make efforts to offer gentle reminders, however when met with resistance that can lead to confrontation, they cannot be expected to act as law enforcement. We appreciate your concern in this regard and want to offer our assurances that we take the safety of our guests and associates very seriously. Once again, thank you for this very helpful feedback and the opportunity to provide some clarity to your concerns. Yours in Hospitality, On behalf of Blue Mountain Resorts LP James Henry Vice President of Hospitality

Hotel's Favourite
Hotel is in the heart of the village with the Starbucks at the bottom of the stairs. The location is great; however its a bit of a walk from parking. The rooms were great! Mini kitchen and coffee maker included. The outdoor hottubs were open in February and were a great way to warm up and relax. Would stay here again when in the area.

Dear Renee, Thank you for a wonderful review, we are so happy and pleased to see that you enjoyed your recent stay at the Grand Georgian. Our property is wonderfully situated in the heart of the village with ease of access to a variety of restaurants and resorts, and we are most delighted to see that you enjoyed the location of your suite. Our hot tubs are open year-round, and are a great way to unwind for guests choosing a relaxing get away, as well as those that have been out on the hills all day. We thank you again and can’t wait to welcome you back to Blue soon. In Hospitality, On behalf of Blue Mountain Resorts LP James Henry Vice President of Hospitality

We had never been to Blue Mountain resort before and wanted to visit for the Winter activities available and to stay on site. Unfortunately the app and website were very difficult to navigate and the information (we found out after we arrived) was out of date and lots of things were unavailable due to it being the end of the season as well as the covid restrictions. When we arrived at the hotel we found the room was not as described (the details were in tiny writing and quite well hidden). We had no kitchen so the receptionist apologized and upgraded the room but for a fee. This felt more like an up sell to us but we went along with it as we had little choice. The room was at the back of the hotel overlooking the carpark with a Juliette balcony. The screen door on the balcony was broken and rattled in the wind but the rest of the room which was split over 2 levels, was very nice and well appointed. However, the bedroom on the 2nd floor was very hot with little ventilation making it hard to sleep. None of the pools/hot tubs etc were available due to covid but again this was not as described on the website when booking. This should have been something they were keeping up to date with in the current situation. We used several of the bars and restaurants around the resort complex, most of which had good service and entertainment (BBQ at Rusteys and the guitarist/singer at the Irish bar were really great). We also hired ski equipment and had a lesson which was really good and after a day on the slopes i felt quite confident. The service however when hiring the ski equipment was not great. They were very uninterested and uninformative for people who had never skied before. Overall the biggest difficulty we had was the disjointed website before we arrived. There is a massive disconnect between the hotels and the activities available, making it very hard to plan your trip if you have never been before.

Dear Happy TravelersVR, Thank you for taking the time to post a review following your recent visit to Blue Mountain Resorts. We regret to see that you encountered some frustrations navigating our website. We have undertaken a quick review of our website and found that selecting lodging from the hamburger menu, takes you to a page that showcases our various properties. More importantly this page highlights and breaks down the adaptations in place while we operate under various restrictions, including pools/hot tubs, housekeeping services, dining and more. Similarly, there is a link to our hours of operation and attractions page through the hamburger menu, which showcases all of our attractions and operating hours. We can assure you that our marketing team actively updates our website with ongoing changes either as a result of season, weather or ever changing Covid adaptations. Typically, our reservation specialists are very detail oriented when assisting our guests with their reservations, and we regret any shortfalls that occurred during this process, leading to disappointment with the room assignment. We are pleased to see that despite some frustration you found pleasure in some elements of your winter visit. Yours in Hospitality, On behalf of Blue Mountain Resorts LP James Henry Vice President of Hospitality

We stayed at Weider Lodge located on the plaza of Blue Mountain Village at the base of the ski hills. The suite had one bedroom, living/dining area, kitchen, and full bathroom. The living room had a sofa bed and a gas fireplace. The staff were helpful and the suite very clean. Located in the Village with lots of stores, restaurants, and outdoor activities. We were there for the start of the Christmas season so the Village was decorated beautifully.

We stayed one night at the Grand Georgian Hotel in the village. For the price of the room it was disappointing. First we were told at check in that we had a mountain view room only to find it was a village view. Next when we went to make coffee we found a used filter and coffee in the coffee maker. The room was very hot 78F so we followed the instructions to lower the temperature expecting that when we came back that night it would be comfortable but no it was 79F. Fortunately we had windows so we slept with windows open. There is no information package in the room or on the TV. Most hotels we stay in have a package or because of Covid on the TV. For the price charged it was a disappointing experience. Underground parking needs cleaning. .

Dear 58RobertO, Thank you for taking the time to provide us with this feedback following your recent visit to The Grand Georgian Hotel at Blue Mountain Resorts. We sincerely appreciate our guest insights and the opportunities that can arise to make improvements. We are saddened to see that your expectations were not met and the desired room location and view were not available. We are sorry to hear about the cleaning oversight with your coffee maker, this is extremely disappointing. We want to assure you that this quality of service is not acceptable and not typical of our service standards. We have directed your commentary to the leadership team within our housekeeping department to be addressed with the associate responsible, and to avoid a repeat of this service in the future. Additionally, we have dispatched our maintenance team to this suite to undertake a thorough inspection of the HVAC system and regret any discomfort you experienced as a result of this mechanical failure.
