The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend The Austing Haus for anyone visiting Taos. They were extremely accommodating with a good menu for in room dinning. The evening we arrived we felt welcomed with the fire place on warming our room. I would highly recommend The Austing Haus

We stayed here because it’s super close to the ski hill and it turned out to be great. So clean and cozy. Cost a fourth of the price of staying on the base of the mountain. Great price, location and rooms. We stayed in a king suite and loved it. The chimney in the room was the best part!

The noise in the hotel was horrible. The partying until 4am in the morning with no manager to be found to be found to control the noise in the room below us made the trip unbearable. I wanted rest and relaxation for the family but instead got a non staffed hotel with no spear way to contact in site management to make the stay at least comfortable. Do not stay here there I am sure better options. We will be back to Taos next year but won’t stay here and will make sure our friends don’t stay here. It would be nice if the manager (whomever they are) would have responded to my first email complaining about the noise.

We are a family of four who rented one room for two nights to ski. The pluses-the room is darling with a loft, fresh paint, wood accents and fireplace. The room was clean and the hotel quiet. The downside was we had emails stating breakfast was included only to be told it wasn’t, passing the blame to Expedia. Frankly you don’t like them don’t do business with them but that won’t happen now will it? Due to limited options nearby we felt on the hook for a $40 breakfast. Free coffee and pastries were offered only after multiple complaints and the breakfast ordered and paid for.

If you're there to ski try to stay at the mountain. The location is very convenient to the ski hill though. I stayed six nights and didn't receive a single bit of cleaning -- no new towels, sheets nor was trash emptied. Hard to get anyone on phone. I really did enjoy the meals cooked on site though. I'm guessing a big part of this is due to COVID but there still is a better way to do this. There's not much else nearby and Taos town is at least a 20+ minute drive away.
