#3 of 16 hotels in Marmari
Nestled on spotless sandy shores in a secluded location, OKU Kos is one of the original OKU Hotels. Since 2017, it has been welcoming like-minded travellers who are looking to unwind in stylish surroundings, soak up authentic culture and come together over local food. The hotel is adults-only, creating an atmosphere inspired by mindfulness and a slow place of life. The hotel has a countryside setting and its own beach area which instantly allows you to slip into the holiday mood. Take a dip in the warm sea while enjoying a view of the neighbouring islands. The beach sand comes from the surrounding dunes, creating a natural and apicturesque. The Beach Club is at the heart of the hotel. A communal hangout with the dunes as a backdrop, it has a menu inspired by Mediterranean flavours and fresh local ingredients, created by an award-winning chef. If you're looking for light snacks and refreshing drinks, OKU's bar is only a few steps away...

Liked · Sublime from start to finish. We arrived very late (after 11pm local time) and were incredibly happy to find we had our room upgraded to a suite with a private pool! The room was perfect, we loved the design and felt very luxurious. From there, our stay just got better and better. The private beach just past the sand dunes is astonishing. The evening sunsets are out of this world! We loved just relaxing during the day on the Cabanas. It was also lovely to have free use of stand-up paddle boards for some fun in the sea. I went for a run on the beach and the nearby beaches are wonderful too with a windsurfing school and horse riding centre close by if you're into that, but the private beach for OKU is just perfect and quiet. My fiancée qualified as a yoga teacher 9 months ago, and so we were thrilled to hear of the daily morning yoga sessions put on by the wonderful Mariana. Both the early morning 8am yoga and the 10am yoga on the beach were incredible. Mariana also really helped my fiancée after the classes with more tips and advice for her career. The classes are good for beginners and also intermediate/advanced yogi's, and Mariana even gave us effectively a private yoga class as we were the only two joiners on one of the days! The breakfast options are amazing, full of fresh produce and possibly the biggest and best croissants we've ever seen! We also have to give a special mention to Dimitra (front of house at breakfast?) who because of us taking the yoga class from 10-11am, gave us a special post-yoga breakfast for several days (free of charge). We asked for croissants and some fruit and she packaged up 3 boxes and sent them down to the beach for us each day. Incredible service and kindness! The whole hotel vibe is perfect for us. Laidback and casual, yet quality and luxury. Great service, we felt right at home for our 7 night stay and didn't want to leave! I think OKU are opening up more hotels in other locations, so we would love to stay with OKU again! Disliked · We went for the half board option, and so the only downside of our stay was that there wasn't really any option to substitute any dishes if we did not like them from the half board menu. I would also say we aren't big drinkers of alcohol (so this didn't matter too much to us), but the drinks can be quite expensive if you are. Otherwise, our stay was perfect!

A wonderful and tranquil oasis The two of us had a brilliant time here , met some wonderful people and fantastic experience . The food was exceptional the rooms were fabulously furnished and offered every amenity one could ask for . The hotel was clean , bright and clean . They ensured that everyone wore masks and sanitised the tables and areas regularly . The guest experience team were exceptional and organised whatever and advised us on the best external restaurants and tavernas when we hired a car , which was easier than renting one externally . Their restaurant by the port in Kos was exceptional and remarkably cheap with fabulous view over the sea . The restaurant in Limonas , a short drive in the other direction from Kos was a delight and again served fabulous array of fresh fish dishes and had a great atmosphere , also a trip up the mountain at Zia is not to be missed and the guest team booked us a table just in time to see it . All in all the hotel is the best on the island by far , a great place to chill as not a lot goes on in the evenings . All the staff bent over backwards to assist you in anyway they could. Half board best option as the a la carte is limited ,mind you saying that I managed to order a magnificent burger from the room service Menu .

First of all the whole team (everyone hotel staff from waiters to cleaning team) are friendly and very helpful, especially many thanks to Elena, Dimitra and Frosini (Faye)! It was a very spontaneous trip only for a long weekend with my sister to celebrate my birthday and it was a great time. Actually my second time in OKU Kos. The Food, drinks and spa treatment were fantastic also the juniors swim up room as well as the beach we can only recommend. I will be back soon for sure and stay longer.

The hotel is placed approximately 10 km from Kos city, and near the sea. If you don’t rent a car, you are stocked at the hotel since it is placed a couple of kilometres from main road Since it is a 5 star hotel diner is sophisticated, so do not expect large portions, but except food made for your eyes. I tried chicken breast and pork, and both meals was dry and overcooked. If you want to eat at hotel, eat before 7pm, then you can select OKU burger, which is tasty. Cleaning is ok if you look away from missing towels and bags in the garbage bins. Especially in the bin at the toilet. Remember it is a 5 star hotel. An average stay where we expected more than hotel deliveried, and maybe our expectations was to high.
