Not many guest houses have restaurants and very few indeed have one as good as the one here. The choice is fairly limited but good and the wines are also very good, as were the breakfasts. The staff are very helpful, polite and smiling. As Arniston is somewhat off the main tourist track it was a delight to find this place with stylish modern clean rooms grouped around a small courtyard with a small splash pool (with a notice "no lifeguard on duty"!!).

I found the room very well appointed from the Nespresso machine to the wall sockets which included different plug types as well as USB ports. The reading lights were perfect. I liked the privacy of the pool area, the lounge and the dining room. The breakfast were very good and just generally having your room so close by made me feel that I was in a private home. The staff were all very helpful.

Loved the simplicity of the place. It was cozy and "homely". The room itself had everything we needed. I loved the separate bathroom and toilet - very convenient. The staff were very friendly and eager to please. The B & B was located relatively close to the beach area, which meant we could have walked from there.
It's seldom we stay in a B & B where there is no TV in the room. But this was not a problem. All we wanted to do was relax after our long road trip. The one suggestion we would recommend, is that another set of pillows is made available in the room.

We spent two comfortable nights at this lovely guesthouse. The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful, telling us about the local attractions.
BlueSky has a restaurant which serves a small but varied menu, we ate here and had a delicious meal.
The room and surrounding common area are tastefully furnished and have everything you could need for a comfortable stay.
We would happily recommend this accommodation.

Our short stay (my wife and I) was a most pleasant experience. Our host, Adrian, was friendly and welcoming and always eager to help. We had a simple but comfortable room, utterly clean. Adrian cooked an excellent evening meal for us, with a wide variety of drinks available from the bar, and breakfast the following morning (included in the price) was equally satisfying. An unexpected bonus was being taken soon after we arrived in the afternoon on an excursion in Adrian's 4x4 of the historic part of Arniston, still essentially a fishing village, and then into a nature reserve along the coast, an area one wouldn't normally venture to (and impossible for an ordinary car), not to mention the puff adder lying in the sandy road! All in all, a most recommended B&B in a fascinating part of the country, and only 40+ kms from the southernmost tip of Africa.

Blue Sky Guest House in Arniston is an amazing property. Run like clockwork by Lauren Penny and her staff, this is by far one of the best guest houses in the small fishing village of Arniston. Six luxury rooms, a plunge pool when it’s hot, superb buffet style breakfast as well as a fully available hot breakfast, you will not find a better place to rest up and explore the Southern Cape. Soon their own in-house restaurant will be opened again, so don’t miss out when next you’re in the area!
They have all COVID-19 protocols in place to make your stay safe & healthy.
Enjoy the bliss!

Excellent service. They were willing to accommodate us for only one night at a price that was within the budget of our employer. They also gave us a small breakfast even without us booking a breakfast. What a beautiful guest house with beautiful and friendly owners. We would have stay longer if it was possible. Will definitely recommend the guesthouse to our colleagues, friends and family. Thanks for a pleasant and peaceful stay.

This is an average guest house with an excellent restaurant. The town of Arniston has very little to offer the tourist- completely overwhelmed by guest houses. If you stay in room #1 there will be early morning noise and late evening noise from the kitchen. The pool is tiny and the “patio” is communal.

Thank you for reviewing our guesthouse and your comments about the kitchen are noted and helpful. Whilst we endeavor to keep the kitchen noise to a minimum it is difficult to prepare food without some noise of which we extend our apologies to you. Kind regards Colin

Amongst the best of the Guest Houses wherever you go in South Africa. From the moment we arrived we were taken well care of in a beautifully appointed establishment with all the amenities you could reasonably expect, including a well performing WiFi, a comfortable bedroom and all. The supper arrangements were superb, a quality breakfast on departure a great start to the day, before heading for our next destination.
