Food was very high quality, but dinners were at the upper limit of the price range for the region, in my opinion, and only served from 8.30- 10.30 pm. Otherwise a perfect base for exploring the Ebro Delta. BTW this hotel is in the town of Deltebre, a small quiet town about an hours drive from the city of Tarragona.

Hotel Rull is a medium-sized property quite close to the natural beauty of the Ebre river delta. As such, it's a perfect home base to explore the delta. We stayed with my wife and 7- and 10-year old boys; we got a huge (for European standards) family room. The room was OK, except for the nasty smell of the toilet (which went away just by opening the window; cleaning staff should have thought of that). The staff were uniformly nice and helpful, and I can only reproach them that they kept forgetting offering us the guest table d'hote at the hotel restaurant. Breakfast was adequate, and dinner, at €15, was a steal: you would probably pay twice that elsewhere for food of that quality. Value was excellent: we paid the same for two nights (breakfast and dinner included) that we were asked for three nights in a rural apartment. We didn't particularly care about the surroundings: part suburb, part roadside. Anyway, the delta beckons just a short ride away (don't miss the 5-Km long Trabucador sand bar!)
