2nd time staying at one of Beth's properties. We took a taxi from the airport to the house. Grocery store & liquor store (buy duty free instead) within walking distance. There are several restaurants withing walking distance as well. We did venture out with a taxi for two dinners. Each day we'd wake up, hang out on the deck for a bit, sun screen up, grab our snorkle gear and walk down past cemetery beach, swim out a few hundred yards and "drift" back towards the house. We also used the kayak one day to go straight out from the house and tie up to one of the anchored buoys. The kayak was great to get out, but beat us "old" folks up a bit getting back in, so we opted to swim from then on. Our 5th visit to GC, we've seen all the tourist stuff, done the tours etc, this trip was about reading on the deck, napping in the hammock and snorkeling. Beth's a super host and we can't wait to get back.

Hesitant to write a review since this is such a well kept secret. We have been visiting for the past 15 yrs and always look forward to returning. Snorkeling out your front door and quiet beautiful location at the end of 7 Mile beach. Understand there have been many upgrades lately and returning in the spring to catch up with Beth.

this is our third year staying at the nautilus and exactly why we return is because it is a fantastic location and miss beth a wonderful host and Shirley too. Home from home, we stayed in the cottage this year as renovations were in progress to update the houses which appeared even better. All the amenities which you would need for a self catering stay are available. I have been visiting the island for the past 35 years and have seen many changes but staying here is like they are a million miles away, it is so private and as though we are in the old cayman with our own private beach. I particularly enjoyed chatting with beth about cayman in her younger days as a child, so interesting. Thanks for having us again and thanks for the fish miss beth it was delicious. Hope to see you again next year, thanks again we had a wonderful 2 week stay xxxxxxxx

We just returned from 12 days at Nautilus #2 and had a fantastic stay. There were five in our party; two couples and a 15 year old daughter. Nautilus is a duplex right on the beach. The property has a well equipped kitchen in which you can cook pretty much anything you want. We cooked on numerous occasions, even using the outside barbecue grill. It is equipped with a toaster, blender, stove, electric cook top, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer and all of the plates, utensils and other kitchen amenities that you'll need in a kitchen. The indoor and outdoor dining areas are plenty spacious for five people. The WiFi was adequate. There is a television in the living area (we never turned it on) and comfortable seating for 6. Both bedrooms are upstairs after climbing a very narrow and steep circular staircase. If you are quite overweight or otherwise had a problem climbing stairs, you'll probably want to stay somewhere else. Both bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious for two people and a couple of suit cases. One bedroom has two twin beds. My wife and I drew that room simply pushed the beds together and threw over it a spare sheet meant for the double bed in the other bedroom. Both bedrooms share a balcony over the deck. The deck that opens up out of the back of the house is where we spent all of our time. There is a table with a large umbrella and four chairs; and five lounge chairs. Stepping down from the deck onto the sand, it is a 40 foot walk to the Caribbean's edge. Be aware that water entry treacherous; being covered with many multi-hundred pound rocks. To enter the water you'll want to walk 60 west. There are still many large rocks, but it's a much easier entry. If you have difficulty getting around, you'll want to stay somewhere else. Once you clear the first 60 feet in the water, you're past the rocks and move around easily. The facility is adjacent to a beach access walkway. Be aware that there are a number of vagabonds in the area and that you may occasionally see them walking down the beach access or sitting on the sea wall of the Nautilus or the property to the east. Nautilus is a short 300 yard walk down the beach to Cemetery Beach, which is what we did most days to get into the water. When you travel down there, remember to move all valuables back inside and lock the doors; per the aforementioned vagabonds. Also be aware that at night said vagabonds are subject to knock on the front door or walk around to the deck where you are sitting, and solicit you for money; each of which happened to us once. Heritage Kitchen, Alfresco's and West Bay Diner are all within a 100 yard stroll of Nautilus. If you don't rent a car, Foster's grocery store and Jaques Scott liquor store are a 500 yard walk. To get out onto West Bay Road where you can get picked up by the local bus system is but a 100 yard walk. Vagabonds and treacherous water entries aside, we are already talking about our next trip to Grand Cayman, and as of right now plan to stay at Nautilus again. It is a great facility whose owner, Beth who lives across the street, could not be more accommodating. If you enjoy Nautilus half as much as we did, you're going to have a fantastic time.

Thank you for staying with us and for this very detailed review of the Nautilus condos and surrounding areas! We are making some changes/upgrades to the condos over the summer that we hope you will be pleased with whenever you return! Unfortunately our coastline is completely dependent on Mother Nature and sometimes she gives us a beach and other times rocks that we are not legally permitted to remove so we apologize that it was rocky on your visit! We do hope you will return and again we thank you for taking the time to write this review!

Returned to the nautilus apartments again having had such a wonderful time last year, beth extremely accommodating as ever and cannot thank her enough for letting us stay at such short notice. Her daughter Shirley as lovely as her mum and entertained our granddaughter with her parrots which she allowed her to feed and which our granddaughter treasured the experience. I cannot fault in any way these fantastic residences. Our flight was delayed by two days and british airways accommodated us in the ritz carlton until our return flights which is supposedly the best hotel on the island however I can assure anyone reading this review it is not a patch on beths houses. When you have stayed in this house with your own decking overlooking the sea and a beachfront which you basically have to yourself who wants to share with a multitude of other people and stake your right to sun loungers etc. I cannot rate nautilus highly enough or thank beth and her family enough, Thanks again
