They don't tell you your not allowed to smoke a cigar on your patio or on the grounds. They don't tell you no bottle beer in common area. There is a clique of very old people who will openly complain to you about anything fun you try to do on the grounds. Just not a friendly place to vacation
Stayes at Tamarind Bay with 5 other family members. 5 adults and a toddler. Living quarters are spaceous and rooms are clean. Henry the grounds keeper was very friendly. He broke open 3 coconuts from a tree on the property for us to drink. Cannot get fresher than that. Henry also assisted us with our bags and on our last day he came on his day off to say goodbye to my 4 year-old niece who knew him as the "coconut man". Although the beach in front of our condo was washed away, access was not a big problem.
We recently stayed at Tamarind Bay in Grand Cayman and loved every minute of our week. The condo was clean, fully stocked, and in a great location. We were directly on the beach however the beach was unusable during our time there due to the high water. Uncontrollable and did not affect us too badly. We were able to walk 5 min and enjoy a large area of beach, however with little kids it would have been convenient to be closer to our condo. Days after arriving home, we rebooked for a few months later because we loved it so much. Highly recommend.
Wonderful condo, very calm, with a excellent view to the blue sea and white sand!! Amazing beach with warm water to do a lot of aquatic sports like snorkelling, scuba diving and so on. Nice condo to stay at the end of the seeing the sunset!!
Just returned and had a difficult time putting on real shoes. I want my flip flops - not snow boots. Stayed in Unit 5 for a week with three girlfriends. Well maintained three bed/two bath with galley kitchen, dining are and large living room. The best part was the screened in "conversation area" which we used every afternoon for lunch and every evening for drinks after a busy day/night. Unfortunately, the one minus is that there is a lot of coral in the water which made entry into the water there impossible for us to enjoy, even with water shoes. I did see others making their way into the water to snorkel and I just bet the snorkeling was great. We solved this problem, by walking two properties away to the Marriott and using the beach there Still some coral, but much better access (and use of their floats). This is the only reason I give it a very good and not excellent. Many restaurants in walking distance. Local bus service is very convenient and taxi service plentiful. …
