When someone passes the room in the passage the bed shakes *handpalmface*
Kettle in the room has not been cleaned.
Dessert option at dinner, 2 types of cake. No option for ice cream or fruit salad.
Breakfast, boiled bacon. Serviettes on the table was just refolded after use and placed ready for the next guest.
I would definitely not go to the establishment again.
3 pics, dirty kettle, gap under the door and dirty kitchenette.

Kokstad is extremely hot and much to my disappointment the rooms did not have air conditioners but fans that barely helped. The showers did not have any shampoo or shower gel. The in-house resturant served a less than mediocre dinner. Breakfast was also the same, lacked some items and heard other guests complain. What was most disturbing was when I went back to my room after breakfast I saw on the floor clean linen for day lying on the floor in the passage!!! Please do not stay here! Really not worth the spend.

Laundry is opposite Room 112 - staff conversation & slamming doors will be heard day & night. Windows face side street & parking lot - very noisy with pedestrians conversations, trucks making deliveries & cars hooting. Wall heater on opposite wall from bed does little to warm huge room in winter in Kokstad. No emergency lighting in room, so bring your own for when load shedding strikes - staff not helpful. Pack light, as you will have to haul your luggage upstairs yourself - staff don't offer assistance. Satellite TV reception is lost & reset frequently - annoying. Buffet English Breakfast - served luke warm or cold - includes bacon so dry it could pass for biltong. Early check-ins aren't possible - Room 112 was still lacking hand towel, soap & toilet paper by 14:00. Housekeeper requested I not inform front desk in case she got a warning. Overall: apathetic front desk staff, inconsiderate house keeping staff, inedible bacon & 2 sleepless nights - unacceptable, even for Kokstad.

The perfect place to stay when fishing in the Kokstad Fly Fishing Comp. Its close to the Club, its comfortable. My room was clean. The rooms have been refurnished. The character of the stairs and doors have been maintained, and you can help wonder if the walls could tell a few stories. Its on the main street, so its fairly noisy. We didn't eat there, so I cant comment on the food except to say that people I know that its "fine". This is my second stay there, and will undoubtedly book there next year too.
