Our host and guide Mr.Putra was very experienced and took us on a perfect jungle treak. We called him in advance and he made te necessary arrangements for us and we couldn’t so for more. It was very much in our budget also. The room were clean and hygienic. We could experience the nature and hospitality of the Indonesia people.
MR. Putra was our guide for the orangutan jungle treak , we spotted three orangutans and a horn bill during our treak, food was very delicious and they kept us engaged with lots of fun jungle stories and games and took us back to the guest house via river rafting.
Special thanks to MR.Gigin , MR. Ferry and jojo who were our guides for berestagi and lake toba. They showed us around the hot springs, volcano, lake to a and the waterfall. They new what they were doing, showed us nice local food places where we got to taste authentic Indonesian crusine.
Thanks for making our trip memorable.

We stayed for two nights with fun family guest house and Putra took great care of us. He makes sure someone picks you up from the bus station and let you know what you need to pay for the bus so you don't get ripped off at binjai (FYI it's about 25000rp). Also We had some problems with our luggage and he helped us until 23:30 o'clock and got it fixed. Okay the room is basic but for 50000rp but it is clean and the bed is comfortable with a mosquito net. And you don't stay here for the room, you stay here to go with Putra for a jungle trek. This guy has the eyes of a hawk and the ears of bat. We spotted 15 urang utangs, 2 hornbill tukans, gibbons, monitor lizards, a cobra and more! You definitely won't go hungry and the food is great especially diner. The sleeping mats in the tent in the jungle is not very comfortable but that's the jungle for ya. One tip, take something with you that can function like a pillow. Putra and A'an (a porter) are jungle folk and that is want we wanted. We have so many great pictures of animals and they were really great during the trek. This guy is an official guide so you will not disturb the animals or the habitat. We loved every moment of our trek and if you follow Putra's instructions, you will too.

I think it's the cheapest guest house in Bukit Lawang, and the price worth.
The room is clean, which I didn't expect for such a price in Indonesia, and the view is direct to the river.
So if you are on a budget, it's the perfect place.

We stayed 3 nights at the guesthouse, the room is nice, clean and comfortable. We did the 2 day jungle trek with Putra and we can highly recommend it. Putra is a very knowledgable and ethical guide, and a very nice guy. Highly recommend!

4 of us stayed at Fun family and we were not disappointed. Room is so cheap and clean, with comfy bed, mosquito net and western toilet. Putra and his family are fabulous! We booked our trekking through the guesthouse and it was amazing.. We saw 14 Orangutans in total!!! Plus many other animals. Putra was very professional and knowledgeable. He really does care about the environment and the animals. He took very good care of us and helped me when I was struggling with the hike. The food provided was very good too! For the journey back we opted for the tubing...so much fun and highly recommended.

Putra also helped to arrange our transport to Lake Toba.

If you are looking for a good trek and guide, you must stay here and you'll be in good hands :)
