Everything about this wee guesthouse smacks of excellence - beautiful gardens. comfortable room (fantastic A/C), good coffee (and fresh milk!), quirky bathroom (outside, lovely tiles, soft towels), flat screen TV and fast wifi. There's even a table tennis table if you're so inclined. The hosts (temporary as the owners were on holiday) were very kind and helpful too. A truly fantastic place. Two minor quibbles - it was not so easy to find, and it's set in the 'burbs so little is going on in the area surrounding - you definitely need a car.

I really had a perfect stay at A Traveller’s Palm. The owners Johan and Marley made me feel at home from the start, even inviting me to join them for a braai. The room was spotless and there is a nice pool, which I didn’t use. Supermarket at 3 minutes walking distance. The Phalaborwa gate to Kruger was also closeby, making this a perfect base for any trip to Kruger. Highly recommended.

Place was clean and fresh, room on top needs more lights, too dark. I wouldn't recommend stairs to older people. Fridge wasn't clean. Double bed is not comfortable. Sidelamp on top wasn't working. Host was friendly and it is near Krugerpark.

We stayed in room 2. The rooms are crampy, on top of each other with very thin walls (if any) between them. TV sounds, human sounds, from neighboring rooms are very audible - definitely not sound proof. A table tennis facility borders onto room 2 with the noise going on till late, and the light through the blinds. Smokers came to smoke about 3 meters from our front door and talked so loud I had to ask them to be quiet. The neighbors' dog added to more noise. Room very small and cupboard's broken sliding door inside cupboard. No space in bathroom to put clothes or anything else.
On the plus side: safe parking; free WiFi.
If you want privacy - stay clear.
