Write a reviewThe apartment is like a home away from home. Great decor, storage facilities, living room and dining room facilities (books, TV, dining table, coffee table, sofas, etc). It's just very cosy, and the kitchen is great with everything you need to prepare food in the evening. It was just like being at home.
Toilet roll isn't provided which is an added inconvenience to go out and buy some. The mattresses are also way too soft and bouncy, and therefore don't stay on the bed so well. However, the day was excellent apart from the very end (checkout) when we needed some assistance to carry our luggage to the car. I was on crutches due to an accident, my wife is heavily pregnant, and my father-in-law has polio and uses a walking stick. Unfortunately, we were told no one was available to assist us due to a busy reception. My pregnant wife therefore had to carry all the luggage on her own. I would expect a residence such as this to at least offer assistance with baggage to disabled guests, but it wasn't the case on this occasion.

We got great value on a two-bedroom apartment. It includes a full kitchen, a large living room, and a large patio balcony. The kitchen has a stovetop, microwave, fridge, and a dishwasher. It's about a 20 minute walk to the beach, or must faster on one of the bikes that you can rent here. The staff is very friendly, although the reception is only open at certain times of day. It's a great base of operations for enjoying the island. I would definitely stay here again next time I visit Texel.

it was a really nice and relaxing weekend at the Residentie California :)
the apartments are clean and spacy.
we had a 2 bedroom apartment. small kitchen but with everything there, 1 bedroom even had its own shower and the other had a door to the master bathroom with a fabulous bubble bath :)
the personal is really nice and helpful.
its close to the beach and Ecomare.
and if you want to have a nice meal on the beach go to Paal 17 :)

Room Tip: the cornersuite is nice n spacy and we didnt have any noise from the neighbours around us :)
