It is important to know what you will find when you choose this four star hotel and location. It is a two hour car travel from Lisbon and you end up at a very remote place. It is only 14 km from the nearest (small) village, but you will think twice before going there because of the extremely narrow road. Please observe that this is not entirely negative, but it is something you should know.
Buy what you need on your way to the hotel, because that is where the road ends. If you for example read the info on Hotel.com it says that there are a restaurant and a café at the hotel. The truth is that there is a restaurant at another hotel a 30 min walk away. If you go there for dinner you have a long walk along a very dark road ahead of you back to your hotel, so bring a flashlight. The café is in a marina close to the hotel, but it is only open Saturday and Sunday at this time of the year...(June). Strangely enough there isn't even a snack bar at the pool area.
So bring something to eat and drink. Luckily there is a small breakfast waiting for you at the apartment as you can se on one of the attached pictures. The place itself is great. It is a four star hotel and you can use the pool, bicycles, tennis court, gym, yoga room and so forth. A great place to spend time at the hotel with your family and friends, and enjoy the view over the wonderful lake and the mountains. Wonderful fully equipped rooms with AC.

Loved this stay with Apartamentos do Lago with my family. The place is perfectly surrounded by nature, montains and hence tranquility and silence. The pool is big enough to not feel that is crowded when the high season comes. Loved the fact that there is a big room for yoga and meditation practice in front of the river.
Also the staff is very friendly and nice.
Less: maybe could have a small place with only a few grocery stuff. If you miss anything you will have to drive for a few km.
Also the coffee/restaurant is not always open and closes at 18h. For such a great landscape, would be logic that we could take advantage of it at the end of the afternoon.
Look forward to return one day. Really a nice place to charge batteries and stay with family.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Flats are spacious with good wi-fi and great pool outside. Lots of activities on site, all included in the price - tennis, bikes, badminton, yoga, sauna. I think, we had the best room.

A paradise to explore in Portugal. Very relaxing and with one of the greatest views to wake up or go to sleep. Aparthotel divisions have a lot of space and are very well decorated. You can prepare all your meals at the room. TV and Wi-fi services can be impeoved.

Spacious, tastefully decorated and well equipped apartments. Breathtaking view of the lake. Large terrace with swimming pool on the 4th floor.
Very relaxing surroundings.
Friendly staff.
Lack of meal solutions. If one wants to have breakfast or lunch, there's only the Café do Lago nearby which doesn't offer dinner. There's a restaurant 1km away and "civilization" at a 15 min car ride distance. No room service. Only a vending machine with soft drinks on the swimming pool floor.
We only stayed two nights and there was no housekeeping service. Don't know how many more until someone would take out the rubbish.
Honestly, most of all, you pay for the view and the apartment area.
The region is beautiful and worth visiting.
