Atmosphere was nice and cozy. Staff was very nice and humorous. We also got a ride to Prapratno ferry port for a very reasonable price.

The Sorgo Palace is superb. The Family & Team are absolutely amazing - Customer service excellence! Really looking forward to going back! Friendly, welcoming, beautiful rooms with very comfortable beds, air-conditioning, large ensuite shower rooms with plenty of hot water, WIFI, free parking and a fabulous restaurant offering freshly made to order and beautifully presented taste sensations with an extensive wine list and local liquers. The perfect coastal base to explore the Peljesac Peninsula, Mjet, Korcula, Dubrovnik, Split etc.

The Sorgo Palace Family & Team all gave us a warm welcome and we felt very much at home during our two week stay. Our spacious en-suite room with air-conditioning was beautifully presented with the furniture and accessories complementing the Palace’s original thick stone walls. The beds were very comfortable ensuring a great nights sleep. The en-suite shower room was generously sized with an excellent layout and a spacious shower. The clothes airer was a great accessory.

The Sorgo Palace restaurant is excellent. Specialising in fish, caught fresh everyday and also offering traditional Croatian cuisine the choice was incredible, from the world renowned ‘Ston Oysters’ to the perfect pizzas. Breakfast is freshly made to order, served at the table with a warm smile.

The wonderful Sorgo Family & Team go out of their way to make you feel welcome, generous and flexible they do their utmost to meet every request. Arranging airport transfers, bicycles, fixing punctures, beach towels, the most amazing beaches including private beaches, wine tours & tastings, Ston Oyster & Muscle tasting - an amazing experience and one definitely not to miss planning in.

Sorgo Palace is located really close to the Ston Walls offering fabulous views of the Peninsula. If you time it right in September you can take part in the Ston Wall Marathon, attracting participants from all over the world. There’s a fun run too!

Flights booked for next year - Now need to book Sorgo Palace !
Really looking forward to staying at Sorgo Palace with the awesome Sorgo Palace Family and Team again next year.

Found Rooms Sorgo Palace kind of last minute and saw they had good reviews so went ahead and booked. You never really know what you'll get until you see it. This place was just as advertised! Family owned. The room we had was exceptionally clean, comfortable bed and pillows, a very nice bathroom with a good shower w/plenty of hot water and pressure. Breakfast was included and the owner made it to order, very good omelets! To top it off there is a small restaurant attached! We enjoyed a beautiful seafood main with a fresh salad. After we had finished the owner brought out a large platter with several different kinds of desserts and a bowl of mandarins and pomegranates...so delicious!

The room was comfortable enough and had all the basics. It did however fall short of a 4 star rating compared to other hotels in Croatia. You have to be prepared to climb stairs to the upper levels. Their restaurant however has an excellent chef and the meals were outstanding. You can eat at the restaurant without staying there for the night.

I truly received royal treatment at Sorgo palace. Arriving after a long hot drive, I was hungry and tired. Try made me a delicious lunch and I felt totally refreshed.

Ston is very small so you can climb the walls (2nd in length only to China!) or visit the salt production area there isn’t much to do. My hosts suggested a drive out to wine country and picked two wineries for me to visit. It was an absolutely gorgeous drive and a lovely experience.

When I got back they prepared a late snack for me with local wine, and I had a sweet treat before bed.

The room is clean, modern, and just beautiful. Spacious, charming and completely renovated.

Breakfast was included and the owners sourced gluten free bread for me. Delicious omelet with ham. I feel completely spoiled!

The location of the hotel is inside the walls of the old city so you are given a permit to park in the large lot across the road for free. It’s a short walk to the building from there.

Not that you would need it but there is a grocery store close by, and the post office and some shops are a short block. Perfect location, and a special place to stay.
