Went here for both a pre-Christmas waterpark adventure & an after-Christmas ski trip & both experiences were great. The staff was friendly & knowledgeable, their atmosphere & decorations were top notch & they have tons of amenities for active ofamilies (fitness center with 35ft rock climbing wall & indoor tennis, winter hiking & cross country trails everywhere, sled hills, a ski slope with lesdons & even a lights trolley tour - we actually didn't even get to all the Christmas-for-kids activities at the main hotel). Magical, highly recommend.

We just got back from the Grand Geneva Resort. Last minute, we decided to go for the weekend. The place was beautifully decorated for the holidays. I felt the hotel was really dated and customer service could have been better. We ate at the Grand Cafe. The food was fine but nothing special. Our waitress was pleasant. The bar had a piano with a guy playing fun music while everyone sang. Since our teenagers were with us, we had fun listening at the tables by the ice cream shop. The gym is really nice. I took a cycle class which was really good! I liked that the women’s locker room had a hot tub. We went for a walk around the outside of the resort which was beautiful! The trolley tour of lights was fun. I had trouble reserving online ski and snowboard lessons and when I called the day before they were all booked. My girls were very disappointed. So book early if you plan to do that! Overall, we had a nice stay but not worth $200 per night that we paid, especially since we didn’t ski.

Thank you so much for joining us for a family weekend away. We love hearing about all of the great activities you enjoyed like the live music and the trolley tour of lights, and we also appreciate the feedback about the areas where we can improve too. We are very sorry your stay was not perfect, but please know we value your feedback and have already shared it with our team. We are encouraging all ski lessons to be reserved as early as possible this year and all ski tickets do need to be purchased in advance. We are sorry if this caused any inconvenience, but we are trying to provide the safest skiing experience for all of our guests and our associates. Thank you so much for being our guest, and we wish you and your family a wonderful New Year!

I booked here with just two days notice, because two other nearby locations notified me I would be their only guest and there would be NO foodservice!! And I am so glad I stayed here for my mid-January birthday personal retreat. I always felt safe, and there were three restaurants open on property. The food was excellent and plentiful. A special treat was the outdoor clear plastic "igloo" with tiny white lights, a heater, blankets, soft seating, and beverages like hot chocolate which I booked for the evening. DEFINITELY worth the $100 minimum.

There are LOTS of stairs. Even my ground-level room required me to carry all my luggage up and down five stairs! This place is a fitness-enthusiast dream. You must walk some long distances including flights of stairs to get to restaurants and facilities. All indoors! (except spa and fitness center). I also tried to walk outdoors but the trails were not cleared or groomed. I did not go to the ski hill but many others there seemed to enjoy it. I walked outdoors to get to the spa for the hot tub and sauna (but the pool is in the main hotel building).

My room was quiet and had an outdoor patio with two chairs and a small table (balconies on higher floors). I overlooked the lake and golf course. I enjoyed sitting outdoors wrapped in some extra blankets I brought from home. Outside my room I was challenged to find a comfortable place to sit that was not part of a bar. There is a seductive seating area at the far end of the main building in the anteroom of the conference center. I LOVED that spot and had it to myself for journalling, most of the time.

I LOVED the staff at the lobby Starbucks/ice cream shop. Very accommodating and friendly.

I loved this as a location for a private mid-winter retreat, and would definitely use it again.

We just spent 1 night to celebrate our 38th wedding aniversay on the Stay & Ski Package. 5 degrees limited our skiing but the fitness center and spa made up for the cold. Really nice experience highlighted by a wonderful and slow paced dinner at Ristorante Brissago. A perfect day and night away. Would recommend to anyone looking for a special mid winter break.

We stayed for one night to get away from our reality and Grand Geneva was a welcome respite. The property is showing it’s age in some parts, especially in the main lodge in the hallways leading to some of the rooms. Nothing a little extra lighting and some remodeling couldn’t fix. We had a king deluxe and from what we saw our room was a little larger than the average room.
We used the WELL fitness center where they have two tennis courts, a basketball court, a lap pool and a decent size gym. My wife loved the lap pool.
The resort was beautifully decorated and they had a huge tree in the middle of the lobby. Kids will love the decorations and the lights around the resort as well.
We had a quiet stay and slept very well. Noise level was almost zero despite the hotel being what appeared to be very full.
Wifi was excellent and complimentary.
