We have just stayed at the Grupotel Niro for the first time and was extremely impressed with everything. The hotel is incredibly quiet and peaceful which is just what we were looking for. Lovely well kept gardens to sunbathe in with plenty of comfortable loungers available.
The staff are the most pleasant I have come across in any hotel. Every single staff member seems genuinely happy to be there for you, always smiling and giving the best service possible. The ladies serving the food at breakfast and dinner were so friendly and we actually looked forward to seeing them at each meal time. It’s clear the hotel is run incredibly well!
I think we were the only English people staying in the Niro which actually made our stay even more enjoyable! Only nice, civilised guests the week we were there, almost entirely German.
The Spa in the hotel is lovely to use at the end of a hot day. Great steam room/sauna and massage jets to wind down before the evening at no extra cost.
The food in the hotel is outstanding, 5* quality. Really lovely breakfast and fantastic dinners. Lots of variety of incredibly fresh, tasty and hot food all of which could not be faulted! We didn’t eat out once as the food was so good in the hotel!
The only very small negatives I can think of from our stay is the rooms are slightly dated and the air con isn’t the best - not very cool and quite noisy even on the lowest setting.
Overall we had an amazing week at the Niro and would happily stay here again. If you want a relaxing week with delicious food in a great little resort then the Niro is perfect. Thank you for a great stay, we will be back!
We actually did not book this hotel. But our travel company decided to rebook us to this hotel under the excuse Thomas Cook was going bankrupt.
Room is clean. Although a bit small. Even though we had a room just over the pool bar it was quiet. We got half board and was over medium satisfied with the buffet and the service. We can recommend this place.
As always, a lovely stay at the Nilo & Spa. This was our seventh stay and each time we return, it truly feels like ‘coming home’. We were looked after very well by everyone in the team and nothing is too much trouble. Our welcome was genuine and warm, our room, upon arrival, was spotlessly clean, attention to detail impeccable and the food at breakfast and dinner delicious, with sufficient choices for the most discerning palate. We loved staying at the Nilo & Spa again and are never disappointed. We will be back again soon in the new 2020 season.
Thoroughly enjoyed 10 nights here with friends. The room was comfortable and cleaned each day. The indoor and outdoor pools etc were great. The restaurant is well laid out and spacious. Our only issues were that the hot water for tea was not really hot enough and some vegetables were cooked with meat e.g. pieces of ham, which made things interesting for a vegetarian! Any issues were quickly handled by an excellent staff - from reception to bar to restaurant; all were first class. And it was good to see the manager, Sebastian, taking time to talk to his guests. The hotel has a heavily German clientele (as does Paguera) and you do have to get used to Danke and Bitte rather than Gracias and De Nada! Certainly a hotel I would recommend.
My wife and I had Great 5 day stay at the Nilo hotel. Room was kept spotless and we were glad of the air conditioning. Breakfast was first class as was the buffet dinner. Staff were all very pleasant and helpful and the facilities, especially the spa, fitness room and indoor pool were all excellent. The hotel is well positioned close to the beach and you can go a lovely walk / run along the beach path. No issues at all - I would recommend.
