Good rooms and good pools/bar/food. Located very good. Hotel is let down by its corridors and lifts, no money has been spent on these areas and cheapens the hotel as a whole. Took an extremely long time to check in but we did get an upgrade to a sea view room! Which was great.
We’ve been wanting to stay here for a few years as it always looked so good. Finally in a position to treat ourselves this year so paid slightly more than we’d like but thought, what the heck, it’s gonna be awesome!
On arrival everything looked good and we were told we’d been upgraded to a junior suite. To be honest, I wouldn’t call it that. It was tidy enough, but nothing overly special.
We’d also paid for sea view, which we had but only from a corner angle, the other view was the strip and Stereo Bar (not a major issue cause it got us in the party mode)
The standard sun beds by the pool were absolutely horrendous, looked like they’d been demoted after 5 years at another hotel and these were the hand me downs! VIP row on the front had red cushions but nothing special again, always empty as you had to pay!
Drinks by the pool were so expensive €5.50 for a can of Koppaberg!
The setup here is quite weird as there are still apartments owned by the public. From what I gather they have access to all the facilities and discount on food and drink.
It takes away the high end, exclusive feel of the place really.
Had a better stay at the Sol House a couple years back and it was much better value for money!
Very good choise. We booked 2 rooms and we stayed on the second floor. Despite we were very close to the pools area, the room was very quiet. Our 6 months old baby enjoyed the pool and the beach. Our 12 y/o son loved the area. Important to mention that the hotel does not have own restaurant. If you choose half board, they will give you vouchers for dinner in other hotels or in other restaurants 5 minute walking.
We visiting yearly once or twice Mallorca every Summer and it’s the only hotel I return twice ,every year , so much fun
Good location right on the Beach with beautiful view to Magaluf beach ,day and night .
Very nice restaurants ,bars nearby ,with good prices The beach is beautiful ,plenty waters sports ,activities and the water is crystal clear .
The hotel staff is always kind and helpful ,
Breakfast is Yummy , very good quality of fruits, and choices , salmon ,avocado , pancakes , home made cakes ,live cooking
The rooms are clean and very good size with Balcony, all with great view to Magaluf beach ,swimming pool , but my favourite is the frontal see view rooms, u can see the flow , whole Magaluf beach ,from the front and Isla the sa Porrassa
The flow ride so much Fun for both Kids and grown-ups too
Katmandu just at the corner ! With free Entry and some rides if u stay at MeliaMore
Starting with the positive notes:
-beachfront and direct access to a clean beach;
-central location, just steps away from many restaurants, bars and nightlife;
-infinity pool;
-large solarium deck with beds;
-junior suites with partial sea view or sea front view. Large bed, large shower, basic kitchen facilities and tools.
-cleaning team available every morning.
What disappointed me and let me down, thus making me rate the hotel lower than what I would is the staff attitude.
At the reception a young man didn’t seem welcoming at all and bothered to assist us.
I did the checking online to speed up the whole process and I was supposed to just collect the keys but I’ve been asked to provide again all the passport details, send an email with the reservation number, and I’ve been charged the tourist taxes (I thought they were already included in the price I paid 100% in advance!)
To have towels for the pool you need to leave a deposit of 10€ which is supposed to be returned at the end of the stay.
By the pool I was asking for new towels and The answer I got is a finger pointing the clock and the timings of the next shift when the person in charge was coming.
No problem, I can wait, but coming from an hospitality background I expect courtesy and smiles, especially if There might be a language barrier and I am approaching the staff kindly.
On the other hand, the boys and the lady serving at the bars are quite nice.
