I stayed here. It was our first and last time to stay there and warning for other to be careful before you book. Our room was located on 3rd floor as you walk down the hall to our room you could see dust and what looked like mold on the doors.
-In lobby spider 🕷 webs everywhere
- very Small rooms
- Small shower area, you can’t even move
- no rooms services
- No cleaning the room if you stay more than one day.
- get your towel from front desk.
- Rude front counter people
- Rude manager
- No hot breakfast only muffins, kolache and juice.
- it choose it because of good location but hotel management will make your experience worse.
- I got eye infection from the dirty pillow case and bed sheets.
In our hotel room there was dust piled up on doors. They claimed to have done a deep clean due to the pandemic but that’s was a lie. Truly sad because it would be a great location for family to fish with their kids on their private pier but the rooms were dirty as you can see in the pictures. I cleaned with disinfectant wipes and they were black when I was done and this was done after they did a “deep cleaning” due to The pandemic.
Horrible service, had to wait an hour to get our room. We were told this was due to extra cleaning that was taking place. We get in room and are met my a musty smell, dirty refrigerator, mildew on shower curtain and stained bedding. So much for extra cleaning! Staff was not very helpful to getting our problems fixed. They claimed they were short staffed due to Covid. I would think because of Covid they would have taken extra protocols to keep things cleaned. Guest were not following social guidelines, we did not feel safe. BTW... Pool was also green! We didn't bother asking for water view because last time we had one we could not even enjoy it due to loud AC units! What a shame....will not book a room here ever again!!!
My wife and I have visited Rockport/Fulton area since we were kids so we were looking forward to our visit on August 17 - 21st. However, what started out as a time to recapture our love for the Rockport/Fulton area turned out to be an extreme disappointment. Rockport has recently gone through 2 hurricanes so we knew there would be damage but since we stayed at the Lighthouse Inn on previous occasions and found it to be absolutely wonderful we soon learned that this visit was not to be the same as the previous visit. Upon check in we were met by Lindy the clerk on duty whose personality and demeanor left a lot to be desired. Throughout the entire transaction she acted like we were bothering her and she had other things to do. We learned at that time the free breakfast buffet was not available as well as the dining room was closed. We then went up to our room discovered that when they remodeled the hotel after Hurricane Harvey they reduced the size of the rooms. We then went out on the balcony to look out over the bay and discovered that the exhaust for the A/C blew out on the patio and there was no way to enjoy our time out there whether it was drinking coffee in the morning or having some wine in the evening. We also noticed that all of the rockers usually sitting along the bulk head which allowed you to enjoy a drink and look out over the water were no longer there. we finally noticed some of the guest removed some of the rockers from the lower patios and moved them out onto the bulk head. We also noticed that all of the lights that were usually illuminating the were turned off as well as the gazebo had the lights turned off at night. We also learned that the fishing pier was damaged by the last hurricane but there was not indication there was any movement to repair it. In short the visit was a disaster and after two nights we decided to cut our losses and go home with the thought we would no longer visit this hotel. Even with all of the above issues there was no mention of reducing the room rate which was approx $ 200.00 per night. We were also told at checkin that maid service was not available while we were there. It was obvious to me that the management was trying to recover their money from the hurricanes and would do it any way possible. I also examined the website prior to our visit and did not see any indication there was a problem in any of the above areas.
Recently stayed here. It was our first and last time to stay there. Our room was located on second floor as you walk down the hall to our room you could see dust and what looked like mold on the doors. In our hotel room there was dust piled up on doors. They claimed to have done a deep clean due to the pandemic but that’s was a lie. Truly sad because it would be a great location for family to fish with their kids on their private pier but the rooms were dirty as you can see in the pictures. Just recently stayed at the lighthouse inn in rockport Texas and had an excellent stay during these trying times. Our room was right along the waters edge which was very relaxing. The staff as well as the patrons were wearing masks as required in doors as is necessary during this pandemic, hand sanitizers readily available. Breakfast was to go and the tacos and kolaches were very good. Fishing at the private pier and along the sea wall was great👍 We caught dozens of fish over out 3 day visit😊
The staff were very helpful and very nice a big plus. The facility was recently remodeled and very well done the room we had was awesome very nice.
Overall the best hotel stay we’ve had in years. Definitely going back to the lighthouse inn for all my gulf coast trips hands down.
