Nice trendy spot with cute colorful bungalows. Grounds, bungalows and restrooms all were very clean and well kept. Bungalows are simple, but offer charming decor inside, beds were very comfortable as were the pillows. Restrooms are well kept and stocked and appealing to the eye, was totally not expecting to see such nice community restrooms. Grounds offer a good ambiance to sit and chat, play games, swim and bbq. Picnic tables and bbq grills are available. We made good use of the swimming pool, over all Camp Coyoacán is very charming! Beach access is right around the corner a block or two. Stores nearby as are places to grub. Will be staying again when in Port A.
This is more than your average Glampsite. We have stayed at Camp Coyoacan twice now. Both times we really enjoyed the experience. The best kept secret of the whole experience for me would be the clean, private, air conditioned bathrooms. Showers that are separate from lodging are usually SKETCHY and do not provide a pleasant experience. The AC was cold and the beautiful sink made for a "getting ready in a hotel bathroom," experience. At no point did I feel like I was roughing it. It was clean and had usable space. No one was rushing me to hurry up. The community has gated access which is an added bonus to help deter people from coming into the Glampsite that aren't paying guests. The property is walking distance to The Gaff (beer, wine, awesome pizza), Stingray's (beer, wine, liquor and lots of food choices, sports packages) which makes it very convenient as a guest. Of course there are several other restaurants and bars close, but we walked to these when we stayed and had a great time. The property is in the middle of town which is very convenient; but still less than 2 minutes from the beach. The pool is small but its just big enough. It was really clean (hard to keep up in a sandy beach town) and had fun lights. The koozies on the bed at check in were a nice touch. Very Port A. Additional comments would be to have a better lit area by the BBQ grill. We came in from fishing and had to use flashlights to cook. Also, a water hose for guests to use to clean coolers, golf carts, etc. would be a welcome addition. Or, if there is one, having that information given at check in would be helpful. Overall, we are looking forward to staying again soon.
Downright charming. You feel as if you are in a private resort. The tent cabins are cozy with a queen size bed, desk, chair and a mini fridge and AC 👍. There is a outside game area which has BBQ grills or bring your own or you can grill right outside your bungalow. Very nice shaded sitting area where you can relax and have your morning coffee. The bathrooms were clean and air conditioned, you felt like you were in your own bathroom getting ready. The pool was just the right size and the grounds reminded me of a tropical resort, the water was refreshing and the colorful lights at night were beautiful for a night swim. There are bars and restaurants literally right across the street which was convenient. Highly recommend, was the perfect weekend and perfect atmosphere.
I went midweek with a friend for a quick get away. We were one of just three or four guests on property and were so impressed!
They really thought of everything even down to having some kitchen supplies available for quick snack making, coffee machine, water cooler, towels, shampoo, and ear plugs in the room; which we needed because the wind made quite a racket all night on the canvas tent!
The bathrooms were clean and comfortable, showers were hot and pressure was good. Pool area was small but delightful (not heated so a bit cold in April). Oh, and the bikes were perfect...the ride to the beach is quick and easy and we biked all around town. No need to drive the whole trip.
Overall I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Fun place to stay for the weekend. We stayed in a yurt, which was on my bucket list! Nice pool, very close to the beach, fun place to make memories! They get the fire pit going after dark, so bring your smore fixins. One drawback, no restrooms in the yurts or bungalows, so in the wee hours of the morning I had to walk to the restrooms.
