We stayed at The Ramsey while on a girls trip to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The hotel is centrally located near everything. The lobby is beautiful. We looked at the pool and fire pit area but did not use them. Most hotels have canceled their breakfast completely but they were giving out boxes for breakfast with yogurt, orange juice, an apple and a muffin. It was better than nothing. We were very happy each evening when we came back from exploring that our beds were made and towels and toiletries refreshed. No complaints about housekeeping. They beds were very comfy and the AC worked well which made for a goods nights sleep. There wasn’t carpet in the room which I love because hotel carpets are usually gross. The shower was hot and had great water pressure but there is not a full glass door or a shower curtain so no matter how careful you are the bathroom floor gets soaked. There was a few groups staying in the hotel and Friday and Saturday night were extremely noisy with doors slamming and kids running through the hallway. By Sunday night the hotel was quiet. Overall a nice stay for a reasonable price.
Our family of four stayed at The Ramsey on a Thursday night in October. We chose this hotel because it was advertised as an upscale, nice hotel with a nice indoor pool area and clean, attractive rooms. We would have been better off staying at a cheap hotel! Please don’t waste your money here. The indoor pool was not heated, ice cold! The hotel has obviously been “renonvated” and by that I mean a new coat of paint slapped on the walls and That. Is. All! The rooms smell like stale cigarettes when you first walk in. The floors are disgusting in the bathrooms. We had to be moved to a new room upon arrival because our pull out bed was broken. The second room wasn’t any better. There are no hairdryers in the rooms. The breakfast was a box with a cold hard boiled egg, a red delicious apple, and sour yogurt. What we were hoping would be a quick fun little getaway for the kids turned out to be a HUGE disappointment.
We were very happy with our stay. The hotel was welcoming, clean and decorated so nice for fall. Rooms were very clean, our bed was very comfortable. Cathy in Housekeeping did a wonderful job cleaning our room and was very nice. I lost my bag that had my inhalers and such in it between leaving my room and the lobby and Steve was very helpful and helped my husband look for it. Unfortunately no one turned my bag in. Steve did give me directions just incase I would need to go to the hospital. All front desk personnel was nice and helpful. The boxed breakfast was very good. We stayed in room 424 and then 400. We totally recommend this hotel.
We will definitely be back to stay here again 😊 Jennifer Henthorn
The entrance and lobby were promising. However, when we got to our room we were disappointed. Our hallway and room were still under renovation. Our door frame was sanded and the door did not open easily. The bathroom floor around the shower could use some TLC. The room smelled of cigarette smoke. The bed was firm and uncomfortable. As a going away gift, I had to barricade a huge roach in the closet on our last night. Would not stay again. The price we paid was not the experience we received.
Easy check in, clean and quiet room. To go breakfast right now but usually a hot breakfast is served. Lots of parking. Friendly staff and will definitely stay here again. Quick elevators and pool was open. Decorated real cute for fall. Excellent location and can walk to restaurants in the area.
