... motel i have ever stayed in ! First the front desk woman is VERY rude, the rooms are horrible! Holes in the walls, stinks, no phone, no water in pool ,no remote! The beds are disgusting! I had a stink bug crawling on me! I literally cried! Me and my husband left the next day and rented a room...
... to sleep on. Then our room had ants. When trying to speak to the man he wouldn't get off his mobile phone to talk deal with issues. Motel has a pool but I guess your skin may fall off if you use it, its absolutely filthy. As you will see from my other posts I am usually easy to please....

I recently stayed here , it is the MOST horrible motel i have ever stayed in ! First the front desk woman is VERY rude, the rooms are horrible! Holes in the walls, stinks, no phone, no water in pool ,no remote! The beds are disgusting! I had a stink bug crawling on me! I literally cried! Me and my husband left the next day and rented a room next door at Sleep Inn, its SOOOOOO much better!! Motel 6 should be ashamed to called this there motel!

Well where do I start?

This hotel is terrible. Receptionist speaks little English and not very helpful and confused by very simple questions. Our bed linen was dirty upon check in so we asked for some clean sheets that we would have put on ourselves but was told he didn't have access to linen cupboard and gave us two towels to sleep on.

Then our room had ants. When trying to speak to the man he wouldn't get off his mobile phone to talk deal with issues.

Motel has a pool but I guess your skin may fall off if you use it, its absolutely filthy.

As you will see from my other posts I am usually easy to please. Therefore trust me when I say stay away.

I booked this place online the Motel 6 web site because it listed it as "New Location" and it was cheaper that the others. It basically had a Days Inn sign removed and Motel 6 put up over it. The desk clerk was very nice and offered to help with info, etc. The room was nice. Inspected the bed thoroughly for bed bugs and found none so I stayed. King bed was huge but the matress was old and a strange sleep for me. The room was clean it had all I needed. The pool was open indoors. It is very tiny and not much to it, but it was an extra. Morning had coffee. Wi-fi was free which was nice compaired to other Motel 6's that charge for it. The location may be kind of sketchy, but I am not from Memphis so I don't know. I did not go walking but saw some scary people walking by. I drove about 15 minutes into town to Beale St. and came back for the night then left the next morning. It was a good cheap stay over for me on my cross country drive.

We were going to visit Graceland and wanted to be in walking distance to it. This was our first trip to Memphis and probably the last. The hotel is located almost directly across from Graceland, so that part of our trip was satisfied. Beyond that, the hotel is located in a questionable part of the town not too far from the airport. It does boast a guitar shaped pool that our two daughters enjoyed playing in. It wasn't heated but it wasn't super cold either.

We were given a room that was supposed to be non smoking and had signs that state that, but someone who stayed before us obviously ignored the non smoking sign. They did move us to another room without any issues. The front desk was courteous and helpful when asking for directions to a local restaurant. We assumed that Days Inns had internet access in their rooms, you had to bring an ethernet adapter, as they do NOT offer wi fi in their rooms.

The rooms were decorated in Elvis decor and the television did offer free Elvis movies 24/7. The television was updated, but not much more.

There is a free breakfast bar in the lobby, but come short on amount of tables. We had to sit separately. The food they offered was a decent selection of breakfast foods such as cereal, waffles, Krispy Kremes, coffee, juice, etc.

Overall, if you are looking for a Graceland vacation, or are a big Elvis fan, stay here. Otherwise, you may want to move along and find a nicer area to stay in.
