We had an absolutely amazing stay at the Great Pelean Farm. Jane gave us a warm welcome and kindly offered us a cream tea. The house is spacious and very comfortable. Our room had a romanic four post bed and was also very commodious.
The breakfast was the highlight with homemade bread, jam, lemon curd and yoghurt. There has been a huge selection of sausages on the menu - all from the local butcher. ...And some of them have been made from pigs raised at the Great Pelean Farm!
The English breakfast has kept us going for the entire day!
If you are looking for a quiet and romantic place in Cornwall - the Great Pelean Farm is the place to go!
Definetely recommended!

Great Pelean Farm feels like a home away from home. My wife and I return regularly as we find It is quiet and peaceful allowing us to get away from our daily grind and recharge in a beautiful location. It is a good base to enjoy Cornwall from. Andy, Jane and Alicia are friendly and accommodating hosts with excellent local knowledge.
When you first arrive you are offered a scrumptious cream tea, which can be taken later in your stay if you wish. Breakfasts are outstanding with a magnificent selection of sausages being a highlight of their delicious and spectacular breakfast selection, a lot of which is sourced from their own livestock. We find lunch unnecessary while staying here. We have always stayed in the Rashleigh room which has a four poster bed, is comfortable and well equipped. In summary it is our favourite getaway

I have just returned home for a 3 day business trip and stayed with Jane and Andy. The accommodation is lovely, a beautiful old farmhouse with a lovely atmosphere. The twin bedded room was light and airey with a great ensuite shower, TV and tea/coffee making facilities although Jane was always happy to make you tea and coffee to take to the room if you wanted it.
If you like sausages then the breakfast is to die for - 40 different varieties some of which are their own and really yummy home made yoghurt. It felt like home from home, their lovely friendly dogs, just made it for me and Andy and Jane couldn't do enough for you and to cap it all I was packed off with homemade scones because I didn't have time for the cream tea when I was there.

This is a lovely B&B, so incredibly peaceful and well run. You find it at the end of a farm track, so it is very much a rural option, but only a ten-minute drive into Fowey if you fancy restaurants and pubs. We stayed in the downstairs four-poster room with a sweet single bedroom attached for our daughter and a spacious bathroom. Everything is immaculately clean, fresh, pretty and light. The breakfasts are fantastic, you can choose your own fry-up with local sausages (many varieties for the adventurous - chilli and honey anybody?), but there is also homemade yoghurt, fruit, cereals and croissant/pain au chocolat. Or do as I did and have scrambled egg with smoked salmon - the eggs are laid by their own hens and very good (there is always a bowl of fresh eggs in the hall if visitors want to buy any). The owners are hugely accommodating and will always do their best to produce what you want and help you with any info. The breakfast room is big and light and looks out over the front of the house where the bird tables are. I saw goldfinches while I was eating my breakfast. I have stayed here a few times and found the owners Jane and Andy unfailingly kind and helpful. They even put our clothes through the wash after we were caught out by some bad weather. The peace of the place and its prettiness does feel like a great indulgence and a luxury, and yet this is one of the more affordable B&Bs in this area. I have had some terrible nights' sleep in expensive rooms over thumping pubs in Fowey and Lostwithiel. At Great Pelean Farm you are only a short drive from the pretty towns, the coast and the river but you always have this civilised retreat to return to and get a really wonderful night's sleep in a luxy comfy bed and a fab breakfast. Very much recommended.

We have just returned home from staying at this b & b for seven nights. It is located perfectly for those who enjoy a peaceful, rural setting and wishing to visit the beach, Eden project, Heligan Gardens etc, all of which are only a few miles away. We booked the family accommodation which comprised of two bedrooms and a bathroom. It was spotless, spacious and the beds were very comfortable.
The hosts, Andy and Jane were wonderful and nothing was too much trouble. Our two children (boys, aged 10 and 7) loved being here and played endlessly with the three dogs, Mabel, Ethel and Candy who were all lovely.
The breakfasts and cream teas were divine. The choice of sausages was vast and all breakfasts were cooked expertly - kept us going all day.
Would definately recommend this b and b, a true gem and we hope to return to stay.
Absolutely fab holiday!!!
