Stayed at hotel for 5 nights and really enjoyed our stay. The proprietor was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean, the rooms are a good size and the beds are comfortable, with a good size bathroom. The breakfast is very nice with plenty of choice. The hotel is lovely and quiet, except for the occasional church bells early morning. It is in a very nice little town with plenty of restaurants for an evening meal, as the hotel is B&B only. If you enjoy walking it is an excellent location, but Strasbourg and Freiburg are also easy to reach for visits.
The best aspect of the hotel is the spar and swimming pool area, which is lovely.
Highly recommend this hotel.
After a pleasant drive through the beautiful Black Forest despite some rain, we arrived around 4:00 pm, and I was surprised when the very pleasant, female co-owner actually welcomed us by name(!) and offered to help with luggage, and proceeded through out our entire stay to be completely accommodating. Complimentary small champagne bottle. We knew from prior reviews that English supposedly was not spoken much, but I found the owner able to assist us as well, if not better, than other hotels in Germany with similar reviews. 3 Great saunas, and nice pool, towels. Delicious breakfast. Very much enjoyed our stay!!
We were thrilled with this hotel. After days of hiking and enjoying all the Black Forest has to offer, we came back every evening to swim in the heated pool and relax in the saunas. The family that runs the hotel doesn't speak much English (or anything but German) but they made us feel welcome and at home during our 6-day stay. They set the breakfast table with candy "hidden" at my son's place every morning! They really went out of their way to make sure their guests had everything they needed. The photos on the hotel website (http://www.akzent.de/hotels/akzent-hotel-hubertus.aspx) are exactly what you'll see when you go. They only serve breakfast, but the restaurant across the street is really good and offers a wide range of local dishes.
