What an amazing way to start the new year. Camp Ndlovu is everything it promises to be and then some. We were greeted by the manager standing in for Sanet, Moses, who was professional and friendly at all times. He went out of his way to make us feel as though the Camp belonged to us and to make our stay as comfortable as possible. It was a pleasure to be greeted by his smiling face every morning, and his energy and laughter were infectious.
The rooms were beautiful, and ours, room number 5, had a gorgeous view of the river and trees. It was such an experience to swim and watch the wildlife come to the river to drink while never having to leave the privacy of our room. But most impressive was the cleanliness of the rooms. They were impeccably clean. Thank you to the ladies who cleaned them every day for us.
Our meals were all delicious and beautifully prepared by Chef Lawrence. The best of all were the breakfasts, and next time we visit, we will definitely take him up on his offer of breakfast served on a game drive. The dinner served in the boma will always be remembered for the delicious smokey lamb.
Clifford and Jack made sure we were served our meals and drinks with a smile and Clifford will be remembered for his delightful sense of humour and agreeable manner. Thank you Clifford for making sure we got back to our room safely every night.
And lastly a huge thank you to our guide, April. He has a vast knowledge of every bird, plant, insect and animal in the game reserve. April is able to answer any question when asked and each question is answered in the same calm and measured way. He has an enormous love for the animals and nature in the area. I already miss his Bush coffee that he prepared for us on the morning game drives.
We had an incredible holiday, made so special by the extraordinary people who work at Camp Ndlovu. Thank you all of you, we left already making plans for a return visit

My 9 year old son would like to give Ndlovu a 5 star rating.

We had the most memorable, life changing experience there.

The suite we stayed in was absolutely wonderful. Fluffy towels, big comfy beds, outdoor shower (epic). Babbons in the trees to wake you up (still epic!).

The food cooked by Nicholas and Peter was divine and nothing was out of the question. All so fresh.

Lerato and George were the perfect hosts. Looking after the children and showing them all the animals we didn’t know were there.

And April our ranger guide was the most wonderful man. Such amazing knowledge and information on all the animals and plants and where to find them. Best tracker ever.

We loved our stay and want to return immediately.

It is difficult to express in words the experience you will have at Camp Ndlovu. The service we received from Sanette and her staff was beyond special. I want to give an extra mention to David who took care of our every need at the resort and Melvin who took us on the game drives and created experiences we will remember for a lifetime.

Everyday we woke up to see zebras, baboons, warthogs and elephants right outside our room. We were treated to amazing meals which are on par with some of the best restaurants anywhere. Some of the small details to service I mentioned earlier was the fact the staff learned your preferences as the days went on and were always one step ahead. They knew the wine you liked the juices you liked etc. In addition they had prepared a whole spread when we arrived including champagne which was welcomed after a 3 hour drive from JB. They even gave us a travel bag when we left with snack for the road!

I can go on and on about this place but all I can say is do yourself a favour and go!

My husband and I stayed at Camp Ndlovu for 3 nights and it completely exceeded our expectations!

From the minute we arrived at the main gate at Welgevonden, we were met by our amazing guide April, who set up a wonderful drink and snack station for us to enjoy. This was such a special touch and the only lodge who did it for their guests.

We then had a wonderful hour drive to the lodge, where we were met by all staff members, singing and playing the drums. We were led out onto the balcony where an Ellie was peacefully enjoying a drink at the river, while we received a bottle of bubbly to enjoy and a delicious lunch.

Our room was exceptional - room with a view, private pool, outdoor bath & shower, delicious snacks and a minibar. Always cleaned and maintained during our stay, with a bubble bath run every night as we got home from our evening drive.

The lodge is intimate and the General Manager, Sanet, ensures that you are treated like royalty during your stay. She really ensures that they pull out all the stops to make your stay even that more memorable. It was my husbands birthday and while on an evening game drive we were treated to a surprise sunset drink stop with a special birthday cake.

The lodge has a gym if you wish to do some exercise, as well as a Spa to get pampered.

Special thanks to Sanet and her amazing team - Jack who looked after us, Ezekiel, Zack, chef Nicholas (his food is insanely good!), our guide April who was so knowledgable, and the wonderful ladies who kept everything so clean.

This is a true gem of a lodge that will offer you the privacy and intimacy you deserve! We will definitely be back.

WOW. My husband and I have just returned from a 4 day minimoon break at Camp Ndlovu. It was a truly unforgettable experience and I am genuinely sad that it is over. The food was delicious - I've even got a recipe for the Malva Pudding from the chef which I am planning to make for my husbands birthday! David and Jack were super attentive to all our needs throughout our stay - so thank you for making our trip so special. We arrived and were greeted with champagne and an elephant which had just wandered down to the terrace which stayed there while we had lunch. Malwin our game ranger delivered on sightings of all of the following, a female cheetah with her cubs feasting on an impala carcass, a herd of elephants right up close and basically touching the safari vehicle, lions almost every day walking right past our safari vehicle, countless rhinos, a leopard, jackals, giraffes and hippos as well as numerous zebras and wildebeest. I couldn't fault our trip even the rooms were amazing with the most comfortable beds, a private outdoor plunge pool where we could view elephants and warthogs from our room and an outdoor shower and bath. Each evening we would return from the game drives to a hot bubble bath drawn for us...like I said I could not fault our trip, it was a really magical experience and we will definitely be back. Thank you Sanet the GM and the rest of the team for the most incredible few days. We will be back!
