We stayed at Oramel Inn while visiting our daughter at Houghton College. It is a hidden gem - Affordable, clean and comfortable. The delicious cooked-to-order breakfast was such a surprise! Scott is a gracious host who takes pride in his business and it shows.

We called ahead knowing it was New Years Eve and that people tend to have plans.

Our host was courteous and easy to deal with, he told me to call when we were close as he wasn't at the Inn due to the slow season.

As we were running late I called him when we were about a half our out and he met us at the Inn , timing was perfect.

The room was clean both on inspection and smelled nice and fresh, the heat was set low but came up to temperature quickly. Warm water, clean sheets, all good. The décor; dated but charming and exactly what I like and would expect.

I really like mom-and-pop places, they tend to have the charm and style I enjoy. Owner operator Motels tend to be cleaner and cared for better then most large Hotel chains and the Oramel Inn supports my opinion of that. As long as you choose correctly and I chose correctly!

Highly recommend and I will return with my motorcycle in the summer for some Ice Cream.

We didn't get to use the restaurant or ice cream parlour as we were the only guest and it wasn't open. But hell, it was New Years Day in the off season no negative marks for that as I had no expectations surrounding that.

+ Spacious room with very comfy bed, coffe maker, microwave oven, fridge. Simple but tasty home-style breakfast (the manager cooked fresh porrige, eggs, toasts himself.
- Declared working hours are wrong. Time for check-in is set till 8:30 pm, but the office was closed and nobody around at 8:15, although we warned about our late arrival beforehand. We stuck in that stupid situation, because there is no mobile connection in the neighbourhood, so we didn't call the manager. Also beforehand arranged about some small present (had birthday that day), but the manager just forgot about it, so gave nothing.

This is the second time we stayed at Oramel Inn and we had the same room both times. Very bright and welcoming. We were there with two other families for a funeral. The pleasant surroundings gave us peace. We shared time with our friends in the gazebo, had some ice cream and visited with the rest of our group. Scott and Chris are very friendly and great hosts. Will go again if we are in that area.

We were travelling to Letchworth State park with friends and stayed one night in this motel. This motel has only five rooms. So it is really small but very very clean. The room had a small fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The owner of this place Scott also owns an ice cream stand and a private dining room. The breakfast was included, and prepared fresh by the owner himself. The breakfast was really nice and tasty. Scott's hobby is collection of the miniature rail cars and motors, and he has one that is running right near his ice cream stand and is a big hit not only for kids but also for grown-ups. Delicious breakfast, very tasty ice cream, clean room, comfortable bed and warm welcoming host. What else can you ask for. Definitely a nice place to stay.
