The staff at Lelapa were very welcoming and friendly. Our field guide William was incredibly knowledgable and couldn’t do enough to make sure we enjoyed all our game drives and saw some wonderful sights. The lodge itself is beautifully decorated, with a great pool area overlooking the watering hole. We had a wonderful family outing at Lelapa and would love to go back for more magic.
Despite being an unseasonal wet and cold weekend this was a great stay.Warm.welcome , wonderful food
Pity could not enjoy the pools properly and the game was a bit damp but all the more reason to.go.back !
My husband and myself spend 3 fabulous days at Lelapa lodge. From the moment that we arrived to the moment we left, the service was out of this world. The staff was very friendly and could not do enough for you.
The food was exceptional. Fresh and beautifully prepared. Alot of variety.
The rooms were out of this world. Each room had a splash pool, sun loungers and an outdoor shower on the balcony. The rooms were huge with a separate seating area and bath overlooking the wild. The attention to detail in the rooms, were just mind blowing. Everything a person needed was in the room.
The 2x drives each day was a big treat with Lisa, out guide.
This lodge will see us again.
My lovely wife and I spent 4 nights at Madikwe Safari Lodge, very well situated in the upper Eastern section of Madikwe on the side on a hill with great views over the grasslands.
The lodge staff were very friendly and helpful, and always on hand to see to your every need.
The common areas of the lodge are wonderful. There are many areas where you can dine and the variety was great. All food was plated from a reasonable size menu - now available as a QR coded website which allowed us to peruse the menu well before mealtimes. The servings are generous and we could not do three meals every day, so alternated between skipping either breakfast or lunch. Hard to do given how good the food was!
The suites are very spacious with a large central fireplace. Each suite has a deck overlooking the plains with a plunge pool and outside shower. There is both a fan and an air-conditioner. The beds are super comfortable and we slept really well.
There is a reasonable sized communal pool which was well used. An added advantage is that the lodge's waterhole is best viewed from the pool area! There was a near constant stream of animals passing by and using the waterhole. We even skipped an afternoon drive and sat photographing the wildlife from there - naturally with a bottle of champagne on hand.
Our guide for our stay was Mitchell, who was super professional and very knowledgeable. We really enjoyed our drives.
We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend this lodge.
We have been on many safaris and this was fantastic. The Lodge and rooms are beautiful, location with the pool and watering-hole amazing and game viewing excellent. We went in rainy season and still saw a lot.
