This lodge is truly beautiful. The views are stunning and our room and all communal areas were so beautifully done. We enjoyed sitting in the communal lounge playing cards and sipping wine. The cat got lots of our attention too! My children were extremely taken with Pippa the dog and loved the pool. The breakfast was delicious and the service was absolutely fantastic. We will definitely be returning on our next trip to Cape Town. Thank you!
WE stayed twice in the Lodge in the last two weeks .Each time was really pleasant. The room that was given to us was big, quiet, safe, clean and tidy. It was at the pool and garden, which was great as the kids could play in the garden while and had some space space and privacy. All the staff was friendly and the breakfast was great with a lot of choices.
Last but certainly not last, it had an amazing view!!!
Can't wait to go back
What a wonderful few days we spent in Hout Bay
Highly recommended .Victors Kloof especially for families. Attention to detail Gorgeous decor and rooms and delicious breakfasts. The perfect base for you Cape Town holiday. Sight see or spend a day at their lovely pool!
On the outskirts of Hout Bay set up in the mountains with truely amazing views down onto Chapmans Peak and Hout bay. Secure parking. We had a family room which was in the main lodge - massive king size bed in one room with shower / sink unit in the same room and through an arch into a room with twin beds. Comfy beds and duvets. Also a small seperate living area with sofa, chair and coffee table. Amazing very large patio area with table and chairs for 4 overlooking the pool. Downstairs in the main lodge there is a communal breakfast buffet area, a large communal lounge and other large patio areas. Breakfast was divine - good choice and freshly cooked hot food if you also want that. There are 6 or 7 units on the entire property so never too busy. Pool with couple of sunbeds too and another patio table and chairs to seat 8 Always space to find a quiet spot. There is an onsite manager 24x7 and the owners are generally about in the day although they live offsite, 10 mins away.
We thought this was a lovely place to stay, the breakfasts were great, the view was spectacular and the staff couldn't do enough to help. The suite we got was spacious and comfortable. I have seen another recent review by someone thats more critical, i think this is down to a difference in expectations. Take the pool as an example, it wasn't a big infinity pool and the area hadn't been recently updated, but my kids used it several times and enjoyed it. If you want contemporary perfection in all areas, you'll need to book a 5 star hotel....
Anyway, if we come to Cape Town again, we will book in here again, it's a lovely place to stay.
