We just spent our 21st anniversary in the deck suite and loved it. I have never stayed anywhere that had so many extras and thought of so many details: s’mores kits, popcorn, a beach bag with towels, cooler, plastic wine glasses, sunscreen and bug spray. We enjoyed our private deck and the view was spectacular. We used Uber for less than 10 dollars for 2 people into town. Breakfast was good-not like some of the gourmet breakfasts we’ve had in Hermann but no complaints. Loved that they brought it to us! The pool and hot tub were so relaxing. We had it to ourselves the first night but I admit I was not excited the second night; the pool and hot tub were FULL and even had a couple of kids. Don’t get me wrong-we love kids (have a ton of them) but I was surprised kids are allowed at a bed and breakfast in Hermann. We just waited a while to go to the pool and when we got there, they went to bed soon after. I was only splashed by a couple of cannon balls and then we had the pool to ourselves again.

We had a wonderful weekend stay here! The rooms were very nice. Pool room, theater room all nice. Breakfast brought to you in the morning was delicious. The outdoor heated pool was very nice. The first night the owners made sure there was a fire going in the outdoor fire pit seating area and provided supplies for smores. A very nice touch. The owner even got home that evening and came out and visited with us to make sure everything was to our satisfaction.

What a wonderful time we had celebrating our anniversary at Up Up and Away Lodging. We stayed in the hot tub suite and throughly enjoyed all the amenities. The owners are lovely and cater to whatever you might need. We will most definitely stay here again when returning to Hermann.

Stayed here recently, and while it was good overall, we did have a fairly significant issue. I read with interest how others describe being warmly greeted and info about the town, etc. Ours didn’t start out well and was rather awkward. My wife and I had NEVER done a B & B or AirBnB before so we were a bit anxious. With this in mind, we didn’t know quite what to expect and would have been nice if the experience was better. The issue was that we arrived at 2:45 for our GUARANTEED 3pm check-in. We were greeted by who we believe to have been Beth, but she oddly kept referring to “her” or “she” on certain comments. She seemed to be deflecting to someone else due to the difficult situation. My wife and I were both confused on that, but there was another woman there as well so who knows. Bottom line is the room wasn’t ready and we sat there for nearly 1 hour waiting. If it’s 15-20 mins late that’s one thing, but when it’s approaching 1 hr and we’re just sitting there while they clean the room on my dime, that’s a bad deal to me. At that point you need to offer your guests a 10% discount if it goes that long, we just received what I can only describe was a half-hearted apology. Not from who we believed was Beth, but the woman that was cleaning and went over some things when we finally got in. I’ve never been forced to wait beyond the normal check-in time at any hotel ever. Now taking all that into consideration, the remainder of the stay was acceptable enough that I wouldn’t detour anyone from staying. Hopefully this was a rare occasion for them and the fact it wasn’t really handled all that well hopefully is an indication they don’t have much experience with this. Yes the view is nice and breakfast the next morning was above average. Not sure how this compares to staying in town but it’s close enough provided there’s no winter weather with the hilly drive up that way. Overall I’d say go for it, just make sure to call ahead to ensure things will be ready. I have a feeling had we done that ourselves things may have turned out differently but I guess it didn’t dawn on us we would need to.

We recently traveled to Hermann, MO and found this B & B on-line. We had only stayed in a B & B once before and this was a much better experience. We had reserved the "Deck Suite". It was a one bedroom apartment! We were greeted warmly, given information on the city of Hermann, and given a tour of the property and our accommodations. The view of the area from the deck was breath taking. Our suite was fantastic. Bed so comfortable. And breakfast was very good and tasty.
