Staff was very nice. Hotel wasn’t in too bad of condition either you could tell staff is doing their best to keep it clean. Nice place to stay if you don’t mind hearing doors slamming in your room all night long. The worst part of the stay were the other patrons. Its like they’ve never stayed in a hotel before. Super loud and slobby.
I needed to stay at a hotel for a while. I wasn't sure how long I'd need to stay or what my exact requirements from a room were. (Would I eventually need a stove, or would a microwave do?) The manager Tracey patiently explored all the options with me and helped me select the most appropriate room and duration. I had a lot on my mind that day, and I needed some help taking in all the information. Not once did I get the impression he was getting annoyed or bored repeating the same information again. He always seemed glad I was considering staying there.
Late that night, I needed to scan some documents. I logged in to the computer at the business center and tried to get the scanner working. The fellow working the front desk, I think his name was Bill, helped me out with the scanner. I ultimately couldn't use it because it needed to install software updates or something. So he simply offered to scan my documents himself using the back office's scanner. There was some back-and-forth. I scanned enough documents that it took several minutes for the email to go through. So when I didn't see the email right away, he offered to go scan them again and do some trial and error. (The first attempt worked, it just took a while to transfer since the scan was so large.) At every point in the interaction, he was completely friendly and helpful. Never a hint of boredom. I honestly got the impression he thought he was put on Earth to make sure I could scan my documents.
I chatted a little bit with Tahna when I was checking out. She was very helpful and friendly when making sure my paperwork and bills are in order.
When I stayed there, the hotel was nearly empty. COVID had clearly taken its toll on demand for their rooms. In times like this, the folks named in this review are exactly the kind of people a hotel wants behind that front desk. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
Yeah, and the rooms were tidy and everything in working order.
From the beginning dealing with the front desk young lady by the name of April, I have had nothing but excellent customer service! My room was very very clean, clean bath towels everything was perfect. But I have to add that the people that prepared the food was excellent! The day crew that fixed my breakfast was once again awesome! The young fellow that helped me with my table to the waitress Deb she and he were both awesome!!! But I must add that the guy that prepared my daughter's hamburger was kind, nice and went above and beyond my helping me and preparing my daughter's hamburger!! I have worked in the customer service area and at times people complain buy they never take time to tell people what a great job they are doing and tell their leadership they should be given high KUDOS so here goes the people that work at Holiday Inn in Maple Grove are to be given high KUDOS for the good JOB and work they do!! KUDOS TO YOU ALL! signed by Tonya Sharaf in room 319!! :-) And one last thing I think it's wonderful that this hotel has it where people with special needs can have a job and be treating everyone that have jobs and I was especially touched by the young fellow with Downs !! Good Job keep it the good work!
Brady A. at the front desk was extremely accommodating to our early arrival. He went out of his way to get our room ready so our grandsons could go play in the waterpark.
Hotel and pool were enjoyed by all of us.
Thanks
I booked our hotel room on a Friday for an overnight and paid for it online. When I got to the hotel I was asked to give a card for a damage deposit which I was told was going to be a $10 hold on my card. When I woke up Saturday morning and checked my account I seen I was charged $207 after I was charged $250 for the room on my other debit card. I called the front desk and talked to a gentleman who told me it was a mistake that I was charged again and that it was only supposed to be the $10 hold and that it would fall off. I drove up 1hr 30mins to stay here so I could go wedding cake shopping. So not only am I out $250 for the room I booked but now I have to wait days before that $207 goes back into my account ! Another thing I made sure to do before I came was to call and ask if the waterpark was open I was told yes until 10pm I got there and asked again and the front desk manager said the slides were closed. We got to the waterpark and the only thing open was the big pool and hot tub. I was not told the kiddie pool was going to be closed and this is why we booked this hotel for that reason. Upon leaving I look outside and there is black mold in my window ! Not very happy with this service at this hotel
