Maybe this was due to the COVID situation when we visited Etosha Village, but something didn't feel right. The room was clean, but somehow too big and felt cheap. The staff was OK, but not really professional...
We had dinner and breakfast and couldn't enjoy the buffet we were expecting, which we regreted, even if we understand it was not the hotel's fault... But we globally felt something was missing, probably the tourists...
This place is one of my top-favourites not only in Namibia but all over the world. It is very stylish and cozy. As we stayed during the corona-virus high-peak in Namibia then very unfortunate that there was not so many visitors as place could carry but I truly believe they will survive these times.
Location - very close to the park entrance. 2-3km from the main road which made the place very quiet as no traffic.
We had our little house, parking next to it. Room spacious, bathroom the same. Little balcony enable to enjoy and observe wildlife.
Everything worked properly, safety box available hence we never used.
Dinner was included in the rate and served buffet. All food was excellent, including breakfast.
Hotel rooms, towels, bed linens were clean and smelled good.
Staff talked english fluently, was friendly and kind.
We spent two nights at this lodge the room and bathroom are spacious but the commun area are very fun down and uninspiring. The pool needs a serious uplift, the food was very low taste and the wine by the glass a disgrace. This place was by far the worst in which we stayed during our 2 weeks in Namibia
We stayed here as part of our safari package and had a lovely stay.
Our room was luxurious, spacious and far enough away from other rooms to feel secluded.
The buffet dinner was excellent with a wide range of choices including game meat for those wanting to try.
Would recommend staying here.
Spent two nights here over Christmas and enjoyed the room and facilities very much. We stayed in a brand new chalet and were impressed with the design and comfort. The setting is beautiful with the bush all around and kudu roaming free. There was no WiFi in our room, but sometimes it was available at reception. The restaurant was one of the best we have experienced in Namibia, in particular the fresh cooking stations for meat and stir fry. The breakfast was also to a high standard. There is a also a small shop by reception that sells snacks and drinks at a good price. Our room had a small fridge. We didn’t use the pool but it looks wonderful!
Highly recommended, very close to Anderson gate so a fantastic option as a base to explore Etosha.
