Room smelled like cigarette smoke and small bugs. Room not clean and no hot water. The bed was old and hard and uncomfortable and unlabeled. Noise all night long with kids and people running the walkway
No problems with the staff. The room was absolutely atrocious. It smelled like dogs, the carpet was torn with a nail sticking out. The bathroom vent had possibly never ever been dusted. The toilet was stained and looked dirty. The tub was stained everywhere and looked dirty. The hot water either took several minutes to arrive or was unavailable. The television had no remote. When we asked for a remote, it did not work. And there were gnats everywhere. Fortunately, we did not need to stay in our room for very long except to dress and sleep. The outside passageway to the parking lot was partially blocked by a rolling dumpster that stunk at all hours and never moved. The walls had never been painted in the room, and there was an uneven floor leading to our staircase, which was a huge trip hazard. Other than that, it was perfect.
not bad, wish i'd known there was breakfast! I had a secure wifi, and the room was clean, but the toliet would not stop running the water. But ohhhhhh welll. Next time I may decide to go down to New Orleans
We stayed April 24-25. Anytime we came to the New Orleans area this was our “go to” hotel. After this stay, we won’t be coming back. It is an older hotel, but has always been clean and a pleasant place to stay - but it have steeply declined since our last stay. The room smelled clean, but there was splatters and drips of something on the wall and baseboard behind the bathroom door and the bedding was stained as well as a dripping tub faucet. The outside paint, landscaping, and cleanliness has declined immensely. We were charged a $10 pet fee, which we had never been before and the Wyndham website still show’s pets at no additional charge. The pet area was dirty, trashy, smelled and the poop bag dispenser was empty and the trash can for the poop was over full with garbage. There were some unsavory people hanging around that looked almost homeless and on drugs/alcohol including a barefoot man stumbling along the upper walkway dribbling a beverage all along the cement. The next day it still not cleaned up although the cleaning staff rolled their carts right through it. It no longer feels like a safe place to stay. I am sad to say we won’t stay again. It is really too bad this property has declined so much.
Room was filthy horrible stained carpets discolored tile bathroom was bad plus no hot water. Needs more security people just wandering the walkways smoking and hanging out outside my room till late. Stay away.
