Finishing up a 3 night stay at Firehouse tonight. It was a great place and would top my list if I come back. The rooms are relaxing and cool at the same time and I love the not so mini mini-bar (see photo). The White Room where I stayed was really comfy- I particularly appreciated the giant shower and cozy living room furniture/rug.
Bonus touches - very sincere and amazingly helpful front desk staff- knew who I was when I arrived, called an Uber for me when my app was malfunctioning, delicious and relaxing hotel restaurant and $18/bag laundry
My only thoughts for improvement were relatively minor and might not matter to most people- I desperately needed an early morning egg option on Sunday. Note the coffee bar in the lobby was otherwise wonderful with great service. Excellent restaurant closed on Sunday night in favor of taco bbq (not something that works for me but could be a plus for others) - silver lining was this forced me to walk 10 feet to next door restaurant Bon Temps where dinner is working out well.
Overall highly recommend this awesome hotel if you are in LA :)
My boyfriend and I were interested in taking a little staycation when a friend recommended the Firehouse Hotel. I'm so glad they did! This hotel maintains the illusive balance between impeccably cool and insanely comfortable. After hanging by the fire pit and filling up on the Firehouse Rolls (a must) and Pineapple Express cocktails we headed up stairs to our room. We stayed in the Blue Room which I'm pretty sure is larger than my apartment. The rooms have every amenity you can think of including an adorable SMEG fridge stocked to the brim with goodies, luxurious toiletries and even eye masks. The best thing about the blue room is hands down the bed. It is an outrageously comfortable king bed framed with blue and white floral curtains. If you've ever wondered what it feels like to sleep like a princess this is the room for you. In the morning we wandered down to the cafe area to enjoy some coffee and pastries. I can't recommend this hotel enough to both locals and LA visitors!
I stayed at the Fire House Hotel in the white room and it was spectacular! Each room is named after a color and has such a stylish aesthetic of their own. The couches were so cozy I wish they belonged to me and we had a street view from the windows in the living room. Despite being right on the street the room was pleasantly peaceful and had such a warm aura to it. We had drinks by the fireplace at the bar and dinner was delicious! I highly recommend the snow crab legs as a starter and the branzino. Can't wait to go back.
This hotel is full of style, character and comfort. A super unique experience with delicious food and accommodating staff. I stayed in the white room which was gorgeous. But all the rooms look cool. Loved staying in the art district in downtown LA.
