Stayed in 2019 and Room was questionable. Hotel said they were under renovation. Stayed last night and it is worse than before. Will not stay there again. Water in tbe does not drain but yet the maid seemed to find a way to clean the bathtub. Found a 1/2 smoked cigarette on the ledge in the shower stall. Overall not very clean. Too many hotels in this area to chance it a 3rd time regardless of the price.
Room 411 called a king apartment is very dirty. In the times of covid we expect high touch areas to be very clean. Light switches and covers have dirty black grease like finger smudges all over them. The pull out sleeper bed was not changed from previous guest and had chunky food or cereal or something all in the sheets and under the mattress. Cabinets and counter tops had dirt and food residue, not stains but dried food residue. While carpet stains and upholstery stains are sometimes to be expected or overlooked they were excessive in this hotel room. The main ceiling light in living area is burned out. I really wish I had brought my own Clorox wipes. I will definitely be buying some before next hotel stay just in case it’s gross like this one. We stayed in a lot of nice la quintas so I didn’t expect this one to be so gross. I used some tissues dampened with water to wipe part of the cabinet door. I am including pictures of the fridge and cabinets and even a lid in the kitchen area. Glad we are not utilizing any of the kitchen stuff and we are checking out in the morning. We go hiking and camping so I tell myself it is maybe cleaner than camping. However I would not take dirty cooking stuff camping. One upside is that the king bed is very soft. Oh one other super negative is that all that cabinet doors stick very hard and nearly impossible to pull open. So I don’t recommend for someone with not super strong hands. My husband couldn’t even open at least one of them. I couldn’t open several of them.
The hotel, room, and breakfast were great but the whole place smelled of cigarette smoke. There was people smoking right outside the entry/exit doors so I held my breath to get past them to get inside. Other than this the hotel was great.
Room smelled like wet dog, or maybe the whole hotel did. I couldn’t tell that the smell ever faded in and out of my room. There were black dog (I think) hairs all over my bed and duvet cover which made the room feel icky. I put the duvet cover in the floor hoping they would exchange it for a new one but they did not.
The room was not very clean at all, one light didn't work, and the electrical outlets were sketchy. The mattress dipped to the center. Admittedly, they are in the midst of renovation, so hopefully this will be resolved soon. The hot tub was out of order the entire three days, which wasn't impressive, and the breakfast, though nicely served, was short on options. Basically all carbs, with few options for a healthy diet.
