Write a reviewOwned and run by Caroline and Alain from Switzerland, centrally located in the quite zone of Cabarete Bay (on a little side street) but barefoot walking distance along the beach from all the restauants and bars, Le Reef is the ideal place for people who look for relaxation and activities on the water. Healthy quality food in the Frontloop restaurant with fresh fruits, vegetables and seafood prepared by an inspired staff makes a stay just complete - not to forget the Illy Espressos, what a treat. The pool on restaurant level makes it an ideal place for families - kids can play in the water and parents can enjoy the restaurant and bar.
Not to forget, it is one of the few places where you can use credit cards!
I stayed in the Hakuna Matata room on the second floor with an incredible view, two bedrooms with bathroom, a large living room with kitchen and an incredible balcony makes it an ideal place for family and friends.
A nap on the big lounge bed on the balcony under a huge vent is a treat when it is getting to hot on the beach.

I stayed here based on a recommendation from a co-worker. I had a room on the top floor facing the beach. The room was large with a full kitchen and wonderful view. Breakfast is included in the rate, although there is a limited selection unless you want to pay. The waiters were very friendly and remembered my name the whole weekend. You can rent kites and boards for water sports on location. The main activity of the beach is just a couple minute walk away. Be aware however that the hotel does NOT take credit cards. Cash only. This would have been nice to know at booking, but it did not change my mind on the service and location. If I'm every back in the area I will stay here again.

Very nice place to stay for a long weekend. Walking distance from the beach and restaurants. The owners were very kind. Comfortable and clean room. We were 4 and stay at Surf&Turf room and was perfect.

Had a great vacation. The condos are very well located on the beach. There were plenty of activities to keep everyone busy in the water. We really enjoyed the surfing excursions and there was plenty of volleyball. The owners are from the French part of Switzerland and there is a great Thai cook in the restaurant. The condos appear to be recently and nicely remodeled. Maid service was excellent. My only complaint is the wifi service in the room was not good.
