We stayed here 2 nights at the end of a x-country road trip. Treated ourselves and our dog to a creek side cottage. Lovely property with serene cottage decor and thoughtful amenities. However, for the nightly rate of the creekside cottage, we were disappointed in the cleanliness of the bathroom when we checked in (ants), the timeliness of room service tray pick up (animal foraging overnight), and the loss of phone service at checkout for bell and valet service (self carried from the cottage to valet stand). Minor items but enough to disappoint for what we expected to be a 5 star experience. Perhaps staying in one of their less expensive rooms would lower our expectations for a better rating. Location is in the middle of upper Sedona, great for shops but traffic backs up at the drive. The staff was attentive, so no faulting our direct interactions.

Thank you for sharing your experience at L'Auberge de Sedona. While we are pleased that you enjoyed the attentiveness of the staff and the proximity to shopping, we are disappointed to hear that there were so many other inconsistencies with your stay. Thank you for letting us know about the cleanliness issues, as well as the timeliness of room service tray pick up, and the loss of phone service which resulted in your having to carry your own luggage. This is certainly not the type of experience we desire for our guests and we are truly apologetic. Please know that we are consistently striving to improve on the guest experience and we will be using your feedback as a tool in order to do so. Thank you once again for sharing your experience and we look forward to providing you with a much enhanced stay in the very near future!

This was a magical experience! I enjoyed dinner at La Cress and I loved the attentive staff! I was especially enchanted by the beautiful room and the elegant rustic feel of my creek side cottage. I loved hearing the creek from porch every morning while I had coffee on my deck overlooking the grounds! I am already planning my next visit. Take in the art work once you're there! Inspiring place!

Was looking forward to a weekend family getaway to celebrate a special occasion at this great hotel. Was met and helped by wonderful people with the best of intentions although, from the the room not being ready at arrival, hotels last minute dining experience substitution and the botched room transfers leaving us without a hotel room for a few hours, we found ourselves having to ask for intervention too many times. For over 1K per night per room and almost the same amount for dinner (party of 4), this is definitely not the place for a bargain, nor were we looking for one. Only hoped for better internal alignment and consistency in the promises the hotel makes and asserts by the high rate charged. Hotel did make financial restitution but this is certainty not the expected outcome nor experienced hoped for. I really hope the best for L'Auberge, it can do better.
Would hate to see this beautiful spot be compromised.

We just returned from a four night stay at L'Auberge. We rated it 4 stars because of the price. The staff were, overall, excellent. The waitstaff did not exactly overwhelm us but the valet guys were outstanding! My wife and I had excellent massages but sadly the showers and steam rooms were closed due to COVID. We stayed in a Vista Cottage. Pros - large room, very comfortable bed, large bathroom with heated floors, nice deck with a retractable awning, outdoor shower, good storage, quiet. Cons - while there is a view of the mountains it also overlooks the parking lot and pool which definitely distracts from the view. The view shown on the website is very selective. There is also zero privacy on the porches as these units are all lined up side by side.

Dining was quite good although service was hit or miss. The setting down by the creek under the trees is magnificent and certainly worth a visit once they open up to outside guests.

All in all we had a wonderful stay. It is hard, however, to justify a nightly charge of almost $1500 including taxes and fees. L'Auberge is nice but not $1500 nice.

Second time staying here. Last time was amazing at a creekside cottage. This time with kids so we stayed in the two bedroom cottage for 4 days, 3 nights. Having the pond right in front of us brought so much serenity when relaxing on the patio. The frogs, fish and water snails, garden snails, the kids loved all that. The frogs sing every night. They’re tiny but they pack volume! We enjoyed our mornings with coffee by the creek while kids feed the ducks. The stargazing event was a great plus! Their house astronomer is patient, knowledgeable, engaging and his telescope is of good quality. Our cottage was kept comfy, cozy and clean everyday. Room service was always timely with warm food delivered. Amazing dinner at Cress. Papillon Bleu is now one of my favorite cocktail! Property kept clean and lush. Every single staff is welcoming, polite, approachable, available, neatly dressed, professional and delivered excellent service. Valet crew is phenomenal! They’re like friends who welcome you upon arrival and they also make sure everything’s good on your way home. Overall, exceptional stay. Would never stay anywhere else in Sedona!

We originally booked a Vista Suite, but once we arrived and saw the creek side rooms we realized that was a far better place to be. Creek side is the way to go....you will see plenty of red rock while in Sedona.

Thank you for your inquiry! Our Creek and Garden Cottages (including the 2-Bedroom cottages) were renovated between Summer 2015 and Spring 2016. The 2-Bedroom Cottages have large showers in each of the bathrooms. If you are looking for a tub, our Spa and Vista Cottages/ Suites have jetted tubs, along with separate indoor and outdoor showers. We look forward to welcoming you soon!

Do you have all inclusive rates and if so for what kind of room and is all food and drinks included?
Answer from Dirk_and_Jess
Sep 2016 |
Our rate was not all inclusive. There was a resort fee, parking fee, service fee and food separate. The hotel may have an all inclusive rate, but you may want to check to see if service is an add-on. They have a no-tip policy and add a service fee instead.
