We had a great tour with our seasoned guide Alfred who took us to meet talented artists living in nearby towns and village open market. He really is something!
We enjoyed the settings of the lodge, lots of space, vast well-kept garden (thanks for the lemons!) tough or easy walks to the waterfalls, plenty of birds and monkeys. The room we had (Luvhuvu) was simple (but bright and tastefully decorated), had a comfortable bed and a private terrace with braai looking on the mountain that was a treat.
Livhu and Percy (and every single staff, I do not remember all their names) were great hosts, enthusiastic, helpful, professional, ready to organize last-minute changes to accommodate guests, a real pleasure to deal with them all. The food was good, inventive and abundant.
The place has an alchemy that maybe has its roots in the right combination between a new management and well-trained long-time employees.

We stayed 2 nights at Madi a Thavha and everything was perfect. The staff is very nice and professional. We loved the warm welcome, the suite, the pool and the attentions during the day and the diner (great food and wines).
We have been very pleased to discover the local culture but also the wonderful landscapes of Limpopo. The craft shop is also very nice and full of temptation.
We loved the project involving local people and our stay there.
Don not miss if you visit Limpopo!

What a great lodge to spend the night in. Just stopped in area to visit the art route
before driving on to Kruger. Very nice accommodation situated out of town. Comfortable, clean room. They’ve decorated the lodge with high quality crafts & now I wish I would’ve “shopped” in the lodge as the prices were pretty good. Breakfast was nice but I didn’t eat dinner as I was too tired to wait until 7 pm. But you would want to take dinner there as it’s a drive into town in the dark. Highly recommended if in area.

We recently stayed here for 2 nights....only wished it had been more....the location is beautiful, the room was absolutely amazing....filled with wonderful art, the pool was clean with lovely seating either under the lapa or by the poolside....the food was delicious and was cooked to our likes and dislikes....the staff was very accomodating....we did their selfdrive to some of the local artist studios....would loved to return someday

Rooms are really beautiful and clean. You need to be at set times for diner. 7 o clock, We don t like that and would like to choose our own time. There was complete silence in the dining room, very strange and akward feeling. Breakfast is not possible early mornings. Diner and breakfast is great. Wifi only available at the rooms near the restaurant Only 5 or 6 chairs at the swimming pool.
