Giants Cup Wilderness ticked all the boxes. If you are into fly fishing, hiking or just looking for a weekend away this is the spot. The dam is the most scenic and stunning trout dam in the country with gin clear water and hard fighting trout.

We had the most perfect 3 days in the reserve and were able to completely relax amongst the incredible views either from our bedroom or outside the lodge. This trio provided the perfect opportunity for both hiking and relaxing. We also enjoyed a row on the lake and a lovely picturesque picnic in the jetty. Cannot recommend the reserve enough.

My stay with Natasha at giants cup reminded me hust how beautiful and tranquil that part of the country is. My famiky and friends all enjoyed their stay which was cupped off by a gentle hike to a nearby stream. I will certainly be back! I can only imagine how beautiful this spot is in mid-winter. Thank you for your incredible service, Natasha.

Beautiful, peaceful location. Enjoyed the walks within the property, and was also a good central location for day trip to Sani Pass and hiking trails (got to see dinosaur footprints and cave paintings). Some big trout in the dam and upstream. Eland roaming the surrounding hillsides.

Such a scenic place, the Drakensberg had snow, the wind was cool and the hiking was so scenic, waterfalls, different terrain, we trekked for almost an hour and reached the San Bushmen Rock art. We had to wait for the guide to open the gate and had a informative lecture on the cave paintings. The hike back to the Resort was another hour. Overall really great experience. Great bird life and the area is known for eland sightings.

Hi,
Spring is always a good time of year for hiking as the thunder storms haven't yet started and the cold of winter has passed. There are 'veld burns' every winter around this time of year. Autumn is also always a great time for hiking.
