I stayed here with my sister and elderly parents. The rooms were very clean and the bathroom spacious. Various coffee, tea and hot chocolate sachets were available. Unfortunately we were not able to connect to the wifi from our room although it was suppose to be available. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was delicious. Everybody enjoyed their plate of food immensely. I would however have preferred not to have had to listen to Jacaranda FM while we had supper. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately the premises have lots of stairs and steps which doesn't make it very wheelchair friendly or easy to get around for elderly people. The establishment's grounds are well kept and looked after.

Response from isip20142014, Manager at Isiphiwo Boutique Hotel

Good afternoon Karen, Thank you so much for your review, we always appreciate the feedback. We will take your comments into consideration regarding the radio in the restaurant. We are sorry to hear about the misunderstanding regarding the WiFi as we currently only have it available in public areas and not in all the rooms. We tried to advertise it accordingly on all sites as well. If you could kindly inform us, on which site it still reflects that all rooms has Wifi so we can rectify the problem. We truly appreciate it, thank you Looking forward hearing from you, Blessings, Management

I was so very disappointed with this stay that was booked because a close family friend had a wedding at the venue. I must say the wedding catering and venue was very good, but the over night stay was awful. The hotel promotes it'self as 5* but admit the accommodation is 4*. However my room had no aircon, an extremely noisy ceiling fan, no plug in the bath, no room fridge and and a very poor quality CRT TV. At best the room I stayed in was a 2*. There are 50 very uneven steps to reach some of the rooms and various residents kept us awake until 03h30. Unfortunately our room was close to the access point to the kitchens and the staff then woke us up at around 06h00.

Unfortunately I must give a very strong recommendation against staying at this venue

This is a very popular wedding venue and we attended friend’s wedding and decided to make a weekend out of the occasion so we booked the hotel room as well. We loved the room, very small but cozy and stunning bathroom with huge bath and solid supplies of baths salts as well as separate shower. Beautiful gardens and excellent breakfast.

This is definitely not a four or five star Boutique Hotel! The accommodation was shocking - no hot water in the shower, thin/flat pillows, no extra blankets, no hairdryer, no air-con and not much room to swing a cat! Will not be returning.

As a group of mature ladies who save up each year for an annual visit to a spa, our experie was disappointing to say the least. We arrived on time at 8 but it took a while for the coffee to be ready (this after spending time filling in the necessary forms). Our first group of ladies were taken for their treatment, whilst the others waited in the jacuzzi and sauna room. Once it was nearly time for our treatments, we we asked to wait. We waited on the deck where we had our coffee earlier, only to be told to move because there was a treatment room underneath. Treatments for the body scrub and wrap then ensued, but at no time was I asked my name, so do not know why I had bothered to fill in all the personal information earlier on. This was followed by an invigorating shower and rose petal bath, but being two ladies, we obviously didn't want to climb in a shower or bath together. My friend chose the shower, which she said was just the same as at home. The bath was beautifully fragrant but could have had the shower first.

We were as a group asked to wait by the pool as lunch was about 10 minutes away. We waited for about half an hour and our pre ordered lunch was finally ready. Drinks were ready to be ordered, but due to a very limited drinks menu (wine, cider and beers) we went to our cars to get our own drinks. The beef stir fry (ordered by three ladies) was inedible, the meat been some sort of stewing beef (confirmed by one of the ladies who is a chef). The wraps were good. Complaints were made, but the manager was not there, so not much could be done. We listed our complaints in writing at this stage.

More waiting (but not allowed back into the sauna and jacuzzi room) then we thoroughly enjoyed our full body massage. The other ladies had in the meantime gone up to their rooms.

On arrival at our rooms, three were overlooking the roof of the restaurant, and our room was small, with a shower and toilet (no towel rail, towels lying on top of toilet). Only one bed lamp although two beds. Beds were comfortable, room was clean.

Supper time, we had again pre ordered on the Wednesday prior to our arrival. We were given complimentary wine, due to our experience at the spa. Meals were good, but unfortunately for some of the ladies who had preordered a particular dessert, it was not available.

Had a good nights sleep, and a good breakfast. The reception apologized for our experience, and all drinks ordered were on the house.

Maybe if we had been in the luxury suites, I could have experienced the apparent five star rating, but I would not say that any bit of our experience was five star.

We will definitely not be choosing this spa for our long awaited pamper at the end of next year.
