We booked through Airbnb but I wanted to leave a review here too since we had such a great stay. Matthew and Natalia are so welcoming! This place has a community vibe like a hostel but the accommodations are much nicer and we had the privacy of our own room. If you’re there on a Wednesday night be sure to check out the market down the street at the brewery, it was one of my favorite parts of our stay. Such a great town!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Indra Inn. It was made especially nice by the hospitality received from Natalia and Matthew. Natalia was so nice and would chat to us over breakfast. She saw us in a shop next door looking for suntan lotion and kindly offered us some from the hotel to save us buying some. We were greeted on arrival and explained where the common areas are and where breakfast is served etc. Breakfast was delicious and you could pick from different options such as rice and beans, or egg and toast etc. The room was really spacious and clean. Good aircon and fan in the room. Lovely shower with good water pressure. There is a nice sitting area outside the room also which has a hammock and chairs. The location is great with a 10 minute walk to the beach. There is one choice of supermarket nearby and endless restaurant options. Loved it here and will always have fond memories of this hotel.
We loved staying at Indra Inn. The hosts, Natalia, Matthew, Dante along with their adorable dogs Marshmallow and Luna really make you feel at home. The room is very comfortable and we loved the local feel. Nothing beats waking up to sunshine and being greeted with warm and friendly faces at Indra Inn and then having a selection of eating at the free breakfast with delicious fruit (!) and/or walking over to Pots & Bowls (next door) for their amazing cappuccino or green juice or avocado toast! There is also El Point a 30 second walk for a delicious lunch or dinner! And then the beautiful Playa Grande beach is only 10 minute walk in the other direction.
If you want a no frills, local feel but still be within close vicinity to a larger, busier town also with fantastic restaurants (Tamarindo), Indra Inn is the place to stay. We rented bikes here for only $10 a day and biked to Bula Bula, locked the bikes and then took a water taxi (3 minute ride) to Tamarindo Beach and had lunch and coffee. It is so easy. Great lessons at the surf shop only a 3 minute walk from Indra Inn.
We will be back again next year for sure!!
We spent 3 nights here in februari as a part of our 4 weeks journey in Costa Rica. This is a small place situated beside the main road to Playa Grande just a short walk to the centre. The couple who ownes and runs this place are wery friendly and interested in making your stay pleasant. They have free Wi-Fi which were ok. The beds were comfortable. The room was clean and the A/C worked well. In the early morning, around 6 am the traffic starts passing by and may disturbe a little. Breakfast is included and there are a few options to choose between, There are some good restaurants close to this place. There are several nice beaches not so far away which you may visit if you have a car.
We stayed two nights. It was very nice. The place is cute and quiet, just ten minutes walk from the beach. The room is clean with A/C. Nathalia offers breakfast each morning and it is good.
You can park your car in front of the hotel
