Services: 24 hrs services by service-minded staffs. They always provide the best supporting and services, they also managed the booking for all the trips and activities for us and searched to make sure that we will get the best price for everything. We are so happy with their recommendation.
Food & Drinks: All the foods and drinks are very nice and yummy, the seafoods here are so fresh. There are so many menus for us to select both foods and beverages from their cafe, the coffee or smoothy, all are very nice one. The best meal here is the Thai style pork and seafood bbq at the beach front of the resort, it was the best dinner ever.
Room: We took the deluxe beach front one, the room is quite big and clean. All the basic electrical appliances also provided here such as small refrigerator and hair dryer.
Looking forward to be there again. 😊
OK..... It's hard to pick the best bits to tell everybody..... We're expat's hoping to retire to this island paradise. We chose this resort for a fortnight while we found a long term rental to learn the Thai life.
Check in..... the Manageress waited until 9:00pm to welcome us. Her finish time was way before that!
Language.... these amazing people gave us gentle Thai language tips, tricks and lessons from Day 4 to Day 16. We really appreciate their help. Neither of us had any problem being understood in (Australian) English at any time.
Room, bed, food, housekeeping, New Year celebration - all superb.
These people are now a part of our extended family. Ask yourself how that happens in two weeks.....
Thankyou Mui and family; Tav, Jan, Saar and (particularly 22 month old) Marvin; Cee [is AMAZING!!!]; and Pe [the consummate, worldly gentleman]. Hi Wan, lovely to make your acquaintance. Thanks to the ladies that made housekeeping so easy. Thanks to the ladies that made made our beautiful Thai and Western meals. Hey Saw, nice to learn your name there at the end.
The staff at Twin Bay really looked after us and nothing was too much of a hassle during our 5 week stay. Our room was right on the beach and provided us a beautiful view. The beach itself is one of the best I’ve ever seen for walking on....3km long, fine sand, flat, minimal rocks/shells. We will be staying here next time we visit Lanta.
We did a lot of research in to Lanta to find good beachfront hotels at reasonable prices, and stayed a week at Ae Phrae (Long Beach), a week at Klong Nin, and a week here at Kaw Kwang. This was the best overall. The resort is at the quiet end of the 2.9km sweeping attractive bay; the bay is shallow, so safe for swimming, but means wading out at low tide. It is a nice 10 minute stroll along the beach to a couple of relaxed beach restaurants (about 20% more than usual Lanta prices), or a short tuk tuk ride into bustling Ban Saladan (50 Baht per person). Our beachfront room was well-equipped, and thoroughly cleaned every day. What made this resort special was the exceptional service and friendliness of the staff in reception, bar, restaurant, cleaners, gardeners, security and the professional management. The organisation and presentation that went in to the Valentine's dinner on the beach was amazing, and was a memorable experience.
This hotel has probably the most stunning location I've ever been, very peaceful with a beautiful setting.the staff are lovely and cant do enough to help, from the owners, to the GM, Pheerasit, the head receptionist, the head housekeeper, Dao and all the restaurant staff all lovely ! The bar staff are lacking in charisma.
Breakfast was basic, but the lovely omelette lady was so accommodating, the main menu was excellent, some of the best food I've eaten in Thailand, Sun is an excellent chef !
Rooms were varied, all very tired and worn and could do with an upgrade, bring your own toiletries! Rooms 115 & 120 were fine, 123 air conditioning didn't work, 117 road noise and really old. I paid to upgrade to a deluxe beach room(332 ?) for my final 3 nights and that had incredible views, again some old furniture though.
I am already planning my next trip back.
