Hotel Garden has very good location. Half of the rooms have a view towards lake and it's in quiet neighborhood. Rooms are pretty much diverse regarding their quality and especially space. Bed was very comfortable. The room on the top 4th floor that I slept in has the smallest bathroom that I have ever been in any hotel. I am bigger than average and it was almost impossible to take a shower. I saw some ants in the room. Some of rooms needs renovation. Breakfast is very good. Ladies at reception did their job more than very good. They were very kind, polite and charming. All in all, my rating would be between 3 and 4.
Hotel Garden is ideally situated on the main boulevard that runs along the lake in Ohrid. Our room looked out onto the lake through a green reservation planted with trees. Cross over to the pathway and take a leisurely walk beside the lake into the centre of town.
The rooms are well appointed, pleasant, and very quiet, even when the night life is pulsing. A spacious terrace restaurant has been added downstairs, ideal for a leisurely dinner in the balmy nights of the Macedonian summer.
The staff are very hospitable, and altogether, Hotel Garden is a very good base for exploring Ohrid.
Room with views through trees to the lake was comfortable. Free wifi and facilities expected. It's a lovely walk along the lakeside to centre. Staff were friendly. Only downside is for included breakfast after some confusion group were pointed to neighbouring hotel which was not a pleasant experience with over crowded dinning room and many items not available.
Nice decent hotel. The room was a little narrow and the bathroom was very small - I shared with my daughter and we could have done with a bit more room. The towels on the bed were made in a lovely swan shape we were quite impressed with! Our room overlooked the street at the front and the hotel is just before the promenade where the lake starts so it is in a decent position but its a good five to ten minutes stroll to get to where the central square where all the restaurants are.
We didnt have breakfast at the hotel because for some reason they were not providing it. For some reason we had to go next door to hotel Leben (the breakfast there was terrible!!). This was not explained to us and was a shock when we went down to find we had to go next door.
We did have dinner at the hotels restaurant and it was very nice with good attentive and friendly staff.
The location is on very nice place. I`ve been there couple years ago. It was very expensive for me, plus i wasnt even in season. The personnel was fine, the hotel is nice, the room was little bit small.
