After a disappointing stay at the Holiday Inn - Washington Capitol in downtown DC, I was actually happy after my 2 night stay in Ballston. The staff were very welcoming and kind enough to offer me some water upon my check-in. I was put on the 8th floor which I believe was for IHG members, so the hallways were very quiet and the room was comfortable. The bathrooms could use some upgrades, but that was my only complaint. The Ballston area of Arlington has some decent restaurants nearby and you're only a 5-7 minute walk from the metro. The hotel shuttle is a nice touch in case you want to go somewhere nearby. I would pick the Ballston hotel over the Crystal City or Captiol Holiday Inn hotels anytime. Customer service goes a long way so thank you!
Extremely disappointed with the dated furniture in the room, and the boring and bland bathroom. The location is ideal but the dated furniture made my stay anuncomfortabled experience. I hated the dated furniture in the room, and thst was a major turn off for me.
Parking is limited and when I asked the front desk clerk. She could not provide me with a defensive answer and basically told me to park at my own risk . But it's the weekend so my car should be fine and no my car wasn't told.
The hotel was ok and in a good location. However, there were maintenance issues in my room, and the hotel was in general poorly managed. For example, the room service cards to order breakfast were routinely not picked up.
All good quality. Convenient to Arlington National Cemetery and route 66.
clean room. friendly service. didn't stay long enough to try the local neighborhood.
Refrigerator in the room, cable TV, bar and room service.
The room was okay, we didn't eat any food, but front desk service as slow. And then we were billed for things we had directed the hotel to charge our sponsor who paid for the room. It's been a real hassle.
