Our first time to Turkey and wow!, we would definitely return to Trendy Lara.
We stayed during COVID, the place was immaculate and all the staff worked so hard to keep it safe. To be honest, it was that well managed it didn’t feel like we were in the middle of a pandemic, it was so relaxing.
Rooms: On arrival we were blown away by the rooms absolutely amazing, they’d thought of everything! Stocked mini fridge on your all inclusive, toiletries, robe, slippers, even shoe polish!
Drinks: Good quality, the ‘Prosecco’ (sparking wine) was the best I’ve had on an all inclusive, my partner drank the beer which was good too.
Food: WE ARE PICKY EATERS, rarely try new things and don’t eat any fish or seafood. You will not go hungry!!
Breakfast: lots of pastries, we ate omelette and toast each morning (you won’t get an English breakfast) but you won’t starve.
Lunch: WOW! They have the main buffet, which we didn’t eat at for lunch as there was too much choice by the pool. They had a linch restaurant by the pool where you order off a menu, the Trendy beef burgers were food! Aside that, they had a food court with about 6 different food places; fresh waffles, pizza bar, toasties and sandwich bar, burger bar, kebab house....honestly the food was delicious! (Check out my pics) before we booked we did a lot of research and the pics that were on at the time didn’t do it justice, it was so much better than we expected.
They had staff roller skating round the pool bringing drinks and ice creams!
Dinner: we ate in the main buffet once, food variety but we preferred the al a carte* restaurants, these were extra cost €10 euro per person but well worth it. We did most of them except for the steak house. You get steak on the menu in all the al a cartes. Our favourites was the world cuisine, the duck is amazing and the Asian.
There is also a Don Pedro Bistro which is open through the night so you have access to food and drink 24/7.
There is a patisserie .... again, out of this world.
They also have a sports bar.
Entertainment: Great entertainment, they had live act every night, some days it was acrobats, dancers, singers, mr&mrs. They always hosted in both English and Russian.
We genuinely couldn’t fault it.
We went out one night to Land of Legends and ate their restaurant, you were surrounded by shark tanks, gorgeous restaurant, lovely food and cocktails, reasonably priced. Only issue we had was the taxi home. It cost is about 6 euro to get there and coming back the taxis outside Land of Legends tried charging us 100 euro to get back to the hotel. They will try and rip you off!!!
Book a taxi and get them to wait for you, they will wait for a few hours and take you back.
I honestly cannot rate this hotel enough.
Arrived late at night, temperatures taken and luggage sprayed. We were directed to the all night restaurant for a hot meal which was delicious and much needed after not eating since leaving Manchester airport. All COVID-19 precautions were followed by the hotel, temperatures taken at entrance of restaurants, all cutlery wrapped, food served by chefs onto your plate, only downside to this was done didn’t speak English so you got a standard sized portion whether you wanted small or large. Waiters brought drinks to you and were very helpful.
Sun loungers were socially distanced around the pools, waiter on rollerblades brought drinks to you.
Small boat ride to beach where the sea was very warm and clear. Food and drink were available at the beach bar too.
Tried a variety of restaurants for both lunch and dinner, the food corner for lunch had a variety of choices kebabs, burgers, waffles, pizza all at separate counters. Our favourite a la carte was the Asian restaurant, the food was excellent, service was great.
We tried a number of different cocktails our favourite was the Jack Daniels cocktail (neither of us likes Jack Daniels) but the cocktail is delicious, always served with the customary nuts. Must mention our favourite waitress Burcu who was so attentive, always brought us another drink just as we finished one.
Our room was on top floor and had an amazing view.
Just got back and have to advise people to definitely try this hotel. The hotel was beautiful and spotlessly clean and covid measures were second to none. On top of that the staff were excellent, proffessional and very friendly. Lobby bar staff were so welcoming especially Gokhan, Fatih and Oncu. They make you laugh and do great cocktails.
Lunch at the snack kiosks were too lovely and Ahmed Dilek looks after you as well as at breakfast.
If you fancy a late meal go to the Dom Bistro. The food is excellent and Melvut will cater to all your needs with a smile and happy chat.
The pools and pool bar were amazing and Hasan on rollerblades and Havva will make sure you are looked after all day. Ramazan and Deniz will make the best drinks with a smile. Savage in the evenings even mastered the art of Sangria after not knowing what it was. Melvut, the cleaner at breakfast always smiling and coming over to say hello. The food is amazing and plenty of choice and you certainly don't go hungry or thirsty. You must stop and say hello to the guy selling bracelets just by the boats. He will have you laughing for ages. The boat ride to the beach is lovely. Last but not least Selma our room maid kept our room spotlessly clean and always happily said hello and anything we needed managed to sort out for us.
Had a wonderful holiday in especially hard times because of these people.
This is a lively hotel with good music around the pool which was a welcome relief from the daily doom and gloom in the world affected by the coronavirus.
Great rooms, amazing service from all staff.
Trendy Lara was the cleanest hotel we’ve ever stayed in, fantastic covid measures - the staff wear masks and gloves so guests don’t have to.
There really is nothing to dislike about this hotel - I was worried about going to Trendy Lara having read other negative reviews ..... please don’t be put off going to Trendy Lara because you really will have an amazing time!
We will be back - thank you all so much for making our holiday really special. Xx
The room was well set out and cleaned everyday, booked sea view with balcony, please forget sea view, you have a view of the river, the sea is in the distance,it’s an ok view, and worth the extra money, the pool is good, clean and the service great, there are activities if you require them, you can reserve beds anytime, towel shed opens at about 08.30,but really not necessary to reserve beds,Food and drink was generally ok,the main restaurant where breakfast,Lunch and dinner was served had good days, and not so good days,we avoided breakfast due to,no bacon, dodgy baked beans(sometimes),strange cold pink sausages, and the biggest sin no Brown sauce,so a really non Britsh friendly breakfast, the snack bar which opens at 12.30 was ok,Foodcourt has a great choice, with toastier, pizza, burgers and kebabs, worth a visit,Dom Bistro which is basically the out of hours restaurant is ok and nice spaghetti bologainse and mango mouse, lobby bar is the best bar and 24/7,staff there are amazing,Njoy bar shows footie, but dead at other times,A la Carte is a must to overcome the boredom of buffet food, you pay an extra 10 euros per person for all a la carte restaurants, and 20 euros each for the red steakhouse, all the food in these restaurants is very good, the difference in your experience will be the service,it varies so much, what is a great restaurant one night can be a nightmare the next,it is not unusual to have one waiter for the whole restaurant, something else to beware of is that after paying your 20 euros each for the Red steakhouse,80% of the steaks require payment of another 40 euros each, you will not be told this when you book, you can go to a local steakhouse and get amazing food for 20 euros each, get a cab from the main gate, don’t miss the world food A la carte,The beach is worth missing out on,the four minute boat ride being the high point, beach is average, facilities are good, just chicken and chips everyday,Reception is not great,we were in Turkey for dental treatment, our cars kept being stopped and not allowed in by security, even after explaining to reception that they would be arriving, listen carefully,if you go to reception and are greeted by a completely bald guy with a glove on his right hand and he is called Mehmet please wait until someone with at least a brain cell arrives,he was found to be seriously lacking by loads of guests,Hotel shops are seriously expensive and really bad quality items,we paid £3.50 for a pack of face wipes,50p everywhere else, for any shopping get a cab at the gate, not expensive,go to Anatolia Bazaar about 3 km from Hotel,it’s an OK hotel, but just that
