Sink flooded, no phone which I needed because my phone did brake doing my visit, microwave went out, rear entrance kept open several times with a rock, inside trash can overflowing
Floor Commotion all night
Room was changed at 3am to across the hall (who wants to move at that time) In the morning my room door was opened without a simple, knock first

Fee was Comp at checkout But actually WASN'T cause I was double charged in the first place at check in

which was understood
(told then, manager would gladly handle in the morning, this was a recurring problem)
Last I was told "not to book there again"

Stayed at this property for 3 nights due to booking somewhere else and the other property that we booked was terrible and we could not stay there. We got a king suite at extended stay for 81.00 per night. The staff was excellent ,the price was right and close to woodward ave where the dream cruise was going on. The grounds were kept clean. The patio in the back was nice and clean.

Got this hotel through Hotwire and boy should I have picked one of the other options. The first impression is one of shabbiness, and that's doubled down in the room where every piece of furniture was damaged or dirty or both. Vestibule and lobby reeked of pot. Only three deflated pillows in the room. Breakfast is provided, but you better like oatmeal or plastic-wrapped muffins. Hot water urn gave my wife brown water for her cocoa.

All in all, the best thing to be said about my stay was that it was only a one-nighter.

My fella and I stayed at this hotel in September. We chose it, due to it's proximity to the hotel and its price. While many things about our stay were acceptable, we simply couldn't overlook a completely horrific night's sleep.

Pros:
- clean
- large rooms
- continental breakfast (only a pro, because I wouldn't have expected anything for the price. That said, it was granola bars and oatmeal-- just an FYI).

Cons:
As luck would have it (or, in this case, not), our room was situated between what appeared to be 4 rooms that had been rented to a group having a hotel party. This party included about 20 college-aged kids. From roughly 10pm to 3pm, they did the following:
- hung out in the hallway
- blasted music from both their rooms and in the hallway
- talked/yelled/laughed in the hallway (and could be heard in their rooms)
- ran back and forth between the 4 rooms, slamming door repeatedly

We called the front desk to ask if they could do something about the noise-- at least, have them take their party into their rooms, where the sounds were muffled (but could still be heard clearly from our room).

Initially, we were met with apologies from the front desk, and we even heard a hotel employee ask the party to refrain from sitting in the hallway and creating this disruption. However, nothing seemed to dampen the spirits of the party. What's more, the front desk gave up trying to contain it. The last time we called them (around 2 am), the response we received was, "Well, what do you want us to do about it? We asked them to stop." When we inquired about their policy for guest conduct and disturbance of the peace, the front desk rep. simply said, "Well, sorry, but they are paying guests, too. They have the right to use their room as they wish." We were stunned, and asked for clarification-- were we to understand that the other guests in the hotel weren't going to be permitted to have a night's sleep that they paid for, because some kids wanted to scream, yell, and drunkenly carry on all night? The answer was "Sorry, all we can do is put the name on the reservation on an exclusion list for future stays," and were told that there was nothing more they would do for us in the meantime.

The only reason the noise stopped was because the booze wore off and, slowly, they all went to sleep. Around 3:30, the music was turned down low enough that we were able to get some sleep.

I am utterly perplexed and angered by the actions taken on the part of this Extended Stay. I'm not sure why these guest were permitted to ruin a night's sleep for the rest of the hotel guests. I'm not sure why there is no policy in place for hotel parties, number of guests permitted in rooms after certain hours, noise levels, etc. I know that other hotels I have stayed in (all of the budget variety) have these firmly in place. Had it not been for these guests, it would have been a 4-star experience. Unfortunately, the night we experienced was completely unacceptable, and I feel compelled to warn others. We will never stay in an Extended Stay, again.

Please accept our sincere apology for the difficulties you encountered with our service and the noise caused by unruly guests who were also staying in the hotel. You deserved a comfortable and stress-free stay, and we did not live up to your expectations. On rare occasions, we have guests who do not adhere to the property rules concerning noise, and that can be challenging for all concerned. We are terribly sorry that your sleep was disrupted and hope that you both will consider staying with us again so we can demonstrate the superb hospitality that you should have received on this visit. Sincerely, Hotel Management
