The hotel is located in my favourite part of town in Santiago and overlooks the elevated park just over the road. The lobby and downstairs restaurant were well equipped and updated with large sunny windows and a contemporary feel.
The room we stayed in was not updated to the same standard as the rest of the hotel. The linens were very dated and the floor was covered in dust. They also did not change our sheets between days although they were stained.
We were apprehensive because some of the reviews painted an untrue picture of this hotel. Location is ideal for its numerous restaurant options only one block from the hotel. Also convenient was shopping within walking distance two different directions from the front door. Staff was friendly and efficient. The room was large and comfortable. Even the hotel restaurant had delicious food. I would highly recommend this hotel for a short visit to Santiago.
This was an interesting hotel located in an exciting/happening location. We were only there for one night before connecting on our return flight home and this hotel was very good for this purpose. It is only a block or so to some of the best restaurants we enjoyed during our stay in Chile. It is also an easy walk to many interesting tourist sites and museums. While not a new hotel, the room more than made up for it in character. The room was clean and the bathroom had all new fixtures. The bed was nice and firm though the pillows were a bit too firm/large for my comfort (I sleep best on very firm mattresses and thin soft pillows). The staff were friendly enough and the breakfast was good and very well-tended such that everything was fresh and quickly restocked as needed.
We stayed for 2 nights. Initially given a room on level 3, we discovered windows didn't lock and they were accessible from an outside roof so we requested another room. Staff were very obliging, giving us a room on level 4. Apparently none of the windows in this hotel are lockable.
The furniture in the rooms is extremely outdated, however bedding was comfortable. The rooms themselves were also odd, we referred to it as the 'bat cave'.
There was no bottled water in the room - either complimentary or payable.
Breakfast buffet was okay. Location was good next to Santa Lucia Hill and a short walk to cafes, restaurants and a supermarket.
We would not feel safe walking here at night.
Spent one night after before our flight back to the USA. Recommended by friends for its location and price.
Had room 54, a king. Comfortable room. Breakfast was in our rate and while nothing special was enough to get us moving in the am.
We arrived late at night and appreciated the restaurant Casa Nostradamus being open until 10:30pm for some pasta and cold beer.
There is an elevator but be aware it doesn’t serve all rooms (including 54).
WiFi connection was pretty awful from our room. Ended up in the breakfast area to get decent service.
Location was good. Quiet. Walkable to where we wanted to explore the next day.
Hotel kept our bags during the day as our flight was in the evening. I’d stay again.
