Stayed for one night in this hotel while we visited this wonderful area… The hotel is comfortable, the rooms reasonably sized and with a comfortable bed (not too hard and not too soft). We encountered a few problems during the short stay, but none of them “show-stoppers”. Firstly, the bathroom sink drain was blocked (dear maintenance man, please visit room 608 and check). The second problem, as reported by another, was that they room key “lost the code” and so we had to go back down to reception to re-validate the key. Lastly, the safe is located in a strange position and the instructions impossible to follow (I couldn't find the red button in the safe) As I said these are rather trivial items and did not detract from a pleasant stay.
However, breakfast left a little to be desired… the food in the Western Breakfast area, with the exception of the freshly cooked eggs, was cold (dangerous if the temperature is within certain parameters, bacteria will flourish and cause food poisoning). I also witnessed a chef opening all the bain-marie on the counters rather than ensuring they were kept closed to keep the food hot..! I cannot understand why he would do this?
One thing I will say, the staff were all great, the reception staff particularly were pleasant and helpful..
Thank you for a great stay, if I am in Jogjakarta again, I will definitely stay here.
