Thank you so much Kargadan Hostel, we really enjoyed our stay with you! We planned to stay 1 night, but ended up staying 3 because it was all so amazing. Free (and delicious) breakfast, every morning different mixture with the eggs. Free tea and welcome drink. Clean and comfortable rooms and nice common room with kitchen. Amazing free laundry service, but most of all: awesome staff members. They taught us new games with dices and a lot of history about Iran. We highly recommend this place!

When me and my girlfriend arrived in Tehran, we didn't really have a plan what to see in the city and how to get from one place to another. At this hostel we were greeted with Iranian hospitality, got a fresh drink and a tea and one of the owners (Omid) took his time to sit with us and explained the neighborhood and answered all the questions we had. He supported us wherever he could, booked bus and taxi rides for us and ever helped us when we had left Tehran already. The amount of kindness and hospitality was something we will never forget!
The place itself is located in a quiet side road, 10 minutes away from a metro station if you don't use Snapp. The rooms are very clean and you get the maximum of privacy that a dorm room can offer. Toilets and showers were new and also in very good condition. They serve the best coffee and tea we had in whole Iran and to top it off, the breakfast is different and really tasty.
All that made us come back to Kargadan Hostel on our way up north, where we "had" to stay a second time in Tehran for one night.
Look no further, this is for sure the best hostel in Tehran (for me in whole Iran) you can find.

First thing my girlfriend commented when we entered kargadan's premises and noticed the beautiful architecture and stylish decoration was the following remark: " just like when i travelled in indonesia! I felt that the first hostel i stayed at was going to be the best one of the whole trip; and it surely was... i'm getting the same feeling here."

And she was absolutely right. We ended up, after 2 stays there (one just after arriving into the country and the other before leaving) making good friends with the amazing staff but even if we didn't, it would still be the best place ever:

1- the breakfasts (i'm going to miss them)
2 - the welcome drink (impossible to imitate elsewhere)
3 - the teas, the cakes (no words to describe such goodness)
4 - the clean room, the great bed, the shower.
5 - tehrani classic 70's architecture and reaaal stylish furnishing and decor (the owners themselves are architects).

This is a one and only hostel with a cosy atmosphere, a great chilled vibe and incredible staff. A game changer in my iranian journey.

Stay cool Kargadan, and wait for me to come visit you again!

Wonderful atmosphere in this thoughtful revamp of a classic 1970's Tehran house complete with a lovely garden and terraces - for both cafe patrons and guests- Popular with both locals and foreign visitors. Homemade breakfast each morning - and each morning different not the usual bread and cheese, but sometimes GIlani food or other regional Iranian breakfast dishes prepared when you come down. Rooms are well executed with great beds and proper duvet covers, daily laundry service for your dusty travel clothes at not cost - bathrooms are well-thought and both aesthetically pleasing and good quality - lots of hot water and rainforest showers. There is also a room for guests with kitchen and workspace and terrace. Five stars!
