The hospitality here exceeded all the places I've stayed in Morocco. The local family who runs this riad is incredibly friendly and heartwarming. They welcomed us with tea and biscuits and Mouna gave us a map with guidance on locating the riad and the best roads to take. Mouna made us a lovely breakfast when we left, complete with pancakes, bread, jam, cheeese, yogurt, orange juice, and coffee. We felt so spoiled! We only stayed one night but wish we stayed for 4. The room is very private and comfortable. The private bathroom was wonderful and the open air courtyard a relaxing getaway from the hustle and bustle outside. Location is excellent. 5 minute walk to the local veggie market and mini square. Less than 10 minute walk to Jemaa El Fna. As an added bonus, we ran into her husband in Marrakech a few days later when we were looking for a taxi. He remembered us and was so helpful to flag one down and negotiate the price for us. I love this family!
I stayed for 4 nights after a trip to Essaouirra. They are a very kind family, mum, dad and 2 young sons. Nothing was a problem.I was taken to and met from my first night restaurant so as not to get lost. Breakfast was good, fresh bread, yoghurt, tea, coffee and fresh orange juice.
My triple room was very comfortable with a great shower. There are no windows but a heavy curtain provided plenty of light when the door was open.
Taxis were ordered by them for arrival and leaving.
A great budget place to stay.
The owners are awesome people (Mona & Sahil). They are very kind and very hospitable. They exceeded my expectations. Starting from sending a taxi driver to picked me up and sending me to the airport. They arranged my tour to Ourika Valley, Sahil walked me to the square. They encouraged me to experienced the night life at the market and pick me up too to make sure I won't get lose. He showed me the Souk and gave me some good advice regarding what to do and not to do while in Marrakesh.
Mona made fresh mint tea all the time and the fact the she is pregnant, she still bake bread and served for breakfast. She is a very lovely lady. I couldn't thanked her enough for making my stay so comfortable and feeling so at home.
My room was quite spacious and clean. The sitting area is also very spacious.
I would definitely come back here and will recommend to anyone wanting to experience the true Moroccan life experienced.
Thank you Mona & Sahil.
Beautiful old Riad with original architecture in hidden street of Medina. The seating in the centre of Riad is nicely decorated and comfortable. Very friendly, open and helpful hosts. They try to help with anything. Welcome drink Moroccan tea and sweet biscuit was delicious. Mouna gave us a map of Medina which was very helpful. You feel there as a part of the family. Room was very nice and clean with craft furniture. Hot water all day. Home-made pancakes for breakfast were perfect.
I would recommend more breakfast options.
The riad is located perfectly, inside the medina but in the more quite/less touristy part. The family is very friendly and helpful and made us feel home. Room is nice, and breakfast really good! We spent two nights here but could have easily stayed longer.
