There’s not much warmer, peaceful and restful than a high quality B and B. If that resonates with you, the Crenshaw House is a must place to both stay and do in Auburn. From our first phone call, we were warmly welcomed and anticipation of a great stay began to build. Upon arrival, everything was just perfect. Places to sleep, eat, rest, visit, have community with friends, all fastly afforded at Crenshaw . Our breakfasts were thoughtfully prepared, sometimes in the main dining area and a lighter breakfast brought to our room one day. We felt it was “all about us” because we were made to feel that way. Very special and an extra touch was offered on Valentines Day completely out of kindness and generosity of the staff (ie - certainly wasn’t expected).

The House itself has so much to like and is richly decorated and made to feel like you are at home. In terms of location, it’s perfect as well with numerous hot spots for dinner less than a half mile away as well as the university too.

Last, the staff and owner interactions were pleasant, hospitable and enjoyable. They know just the right balance of welcoming and conversation while letting you be to yourself at the same time .

A must stay in Auburn and we’ll be back.

My husband and I stayed 2 nights here in the Hare room. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The house has a comfortable sitting area with a huge TV that we enjoyed. The front porch and back patio have seating for enjoying the outdoors. The backyard is large and peaceful. Mary Jo took great care of us. She baked fresh cookies and cooked delicious and plentiful breakfasts! We highly recommend Crenshaw Guest House!

This review is so late, but I can't go without writing it. In 2016, my husband and I got married in Auburn. We rented out the Crenshaw House for the Friday and Saturday of the wedding weekend and held our rehearsal dinner in the back yard. The house and property are beautiful! Members of the wedding party and family stayed there. Our guests ranged from grandparents to families with young children and dogs and everyone loved their accommodations . I used one of the inside suites to get ready with my bridesmaids, and my husband used one of the outdoor suites to get ready with his groomsmen.
Sarah and Steve are fantastic hosts! Sarah was so helpful with the booking process and welcomed us on our planning visits before the event. She makes a fantastic breakfast, too! We've returned one time since our wedding for a weekend stay and it was just as great of an experience. I'd absolutely recommend the Crenshaw House.

I was visiting Auburn and made an unplanned stay: my hotel room was unavailable because of a scheduling mix-up. Crenshaw was able to put me up at the last minute. And what a great surprise! The room was clean, comfortable, and just absolutely charming. Breakfast was great, and Sarah and Steve are wonderful. Highly recommended, even (& especially) for families!

We had a friend set us up a reservation here. We stayed here the weekend we moved my son into dorm. This will become our go to when we visit Auburn. It is very close to downtown and campus. Sarah and Steve are super host. The breakfast is great! We could not have had a more wonderful time.
