We booked an economy room for three nights and it was just what we needed for a weekend getaway. The room is really cozy, nice and very clean. The breakfast is incredible and the hospitality of our host Manuela was exemplary.

We booked via booking.com at € 94 per night, while lower prizes were on the room leaflet. Room No 1 (Standard) has a "romantic" bathtub, the bathroom is very small with a minute shower. The bedside lamps are the only light, the light above the tub lacked a bulb. The room looks nice, with the roof structure visible, and light furniture, but the bedsie lights (huge, clear plastic) are bad reading lights and take up all space on the bedside table. Only 4 hangers in the wardrobe, just one drawer, and not a single (!) hook anywhere to put one's bathrobe or overcoat. The window cannot be opened, just tilted, and by contrast, the french window cannot be tilted, only opened. The AC of the neighbours was really loud. The room has only ONE plastic chair, and no possibility to sit for 2. There is not communal space which might make up for that.
To sum up: We cannot agree with the rave reviews on booking.com. This is not a good deal. Other details: There are not even water glasses in the room, let alone one of the small welcome goodies one expects at such a price such as a piece of candy on the bed. The location is nice enough, although the room we had also receives distant road and train noises.
Let us review the plusses: The owner was friendly and explained things in good English, her recommendation for a place to dine was excellent, and there is a communal refrigerator in the hallway. I did not experience breakfast so have nothing to comment about it.

We wanted to stay in the western Slovenia with easy access to the caves, and in/out of Italy. This place offers a clean, functional lodging option. Rooms functional, though the room we stayed in had the TV in an alcove area, positioned in such a way that it was not watchable from the bed.

Breakfast was delicious, and it seems that the facility is family run, and aims to please.

Overall, if you are looking for a simple place to establish a base while you enjoy the beauty of Slovenia, this is a great option.

Wife and I stayed one night in August. Arrived in early evening after visiting cave (20 minute drive). Set back off main road, beautiful guest house, carefully maintained by owner/staff. We had a superior room (paid 10 euros more than standard room) which was very large. Next morning, checked out and drove 15 minutes to Lipica.
You have to notify the lodging if you want to have dinner at the guest house (as they order food based on # of reservations of guests). We did not know our arrival time, so did not respond. The night we were there, no guests are eating at the guest house.
There is a popular large family style restaurant 2 minutes away . Also recommended by the staff was the Hotel Grahor restaurant 7 minute drive away. We went there and had excellent dinner in courtyard.
Our room was basic, not luxurious, but had everything we needed. No elevator to get to 2nd floor. Hallways lined with photos and memorabilia.
We met the owner at breakfast and you could see the effort and pride she takes in maintaining the quality of the guest house. Breakfast was ample with cereals, yogurt, eggs cooked to order. served individually, not buffet style. While we only stayed one night, many of the guests were there for longer stays, using the guest house as a base to explore the area including Piran and Trieste (less than an hour away).
When I paid my bill with a Visa Card, I was told by the owner that she only accepts Master Card (or cash). Be aware of that policy.

We picked this guesthouse based on the great reviews it had obtained but we were a little disappointed. We were given Rm3 which had no bedside tables. As only 3 rooms were booked, we thought we could have been moved to a room with bedside tables as my husband needed a small table for his sleep apnoe machine. When we asked why there was no bedside tables, we were given a stool. The bathroom only had 1 large towel for 2 adults. When we asked for another towel, we were told that the double Economy room we booked only gets 1 large towel although the room was meant to be for 2. Also, wierd that there were no tiles in the shower. Overall clean.
